2:21 I'm pretty sure that you can charge the battery while the camera is in use, but you need a seperate A/C adapter. I don't know for sure, I'm in the process of buying this camera right now, but according to my research, it's an option. :P
uh hey gotta question....my friend has a d700, im getting a d90 for graduation and anyway he put it on a setting when he pressed the button the camera records all the light and movement that changes for like 10 seconds and you could write your name in the air with your cellphone light and so you know what thats called?
I have a Canon and I'm buying the Nikon D60 sometime within the next month. I live in a small town with no major electronic stores, so I was wondering if you'd recommend ordering the camera online and picking it up out of town (at say, Futureshop? I'm Canadian) or just ordering it online and having it shipped to my house? The only thing I'm iffy about is not knowing what to do with the thing once I've unboxed it, haha.
You can find some great deals online, but if you're unsure about it just stick to the shops :) That way you can get a feel for the camera and see what else is available :)
Great choice. I have the D40 and it's FANTASTIC! (you sound exactly like the guy from PRIMEVAL who plays Connor - Andrew Lee-Potts. I suspect you're from the same place or close to. Leeds, I think??). Right, I'll go check out your Flickr PhotoStream and see what you've come up with with the D60. I'm on there too... :-)
Well in that case, you would be better off going to an authorized dealer and see whats included in the box, get expert opinion AND get the physical feel of the camera.
That's what I did before I purchased mine.
I went into an authorized DSLR camera store, played with some of them until I found one that appeared fitting for my task and had fairly good expert opinion.
the point is when people decide to maybe buy this camera THEY CAN ACTUALLY SEE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE INSTEAD OF GOING TO A STORE AND PHYSICALLY SEEING IT, soz for the caps pressed by mistake, gives peeps a fair idea of exactly what they're buying too, i personally think its a good idea and maybe in your opinion it is sad, but i enjoy, youtube in my opinion is one of the best review sites on the web for prospective buyers of stuff
Yeah, I understand that. But as a photographer for five years and DSLR owner for years, I find it very comforting going into the store and getting the feel for it for myself. It may seem smaller or larger in the youtube videos simply because of people hand size, the zooming on the camcorder, the lighting, the angle, etc.
So I would highly recommend going into a store and seeing it for yourself as oppose to being lazy.
nowt to do with being lazy some buyers may like a surprise when they open the box for the first time, its cool that people share unboxing with youtubers, in essence no difference between someone unboxing and some twat falling over, have you bought summit and opened the box only to find summit is missing? i got a phone from a store, opened it and everything seemed to be there, only til i go on c-net and see that there should have been a headset in the box
I don't like surprises when I buy expensive equipment. If I'm spending money that I earn, you better believe that I do my research and I will know what is in the box and what isn't. As far as your phone example, that is a lack of research on your part.
lack of research my arse, i fucking forgot more about technology than you'll ever know and as for this camera, this is not expensive, my nikon D700, now that's expensive with the VR 70-300 mm lens, you aint got a clue you fucking noob
I didn't say that this camera was expensive. I said when I buy expensive equipment and besides, the D700 is cheap compared to the DSLRs that I have. But I'm not gonna sit here and argue with you because you sound like a straight gearhead. With that being said...Happy shooting!
check this fucking noob out, "i have more expensive dslr than the d700", you probably dont even know what exposure compensation or aperture is all about, what a loser, and a yank loser at that, fucking scum sucker
Knowing what exposure comp is and aperture does not make you a photographer. LMAO.
You probably have a D700 and have no idea how to work the features on there besides the exposure comp. and aperture. There is ALOT more to a DSLR than exposure comp and aperture. Sounds to me like you're a beginner that goes out and buys professional DSLRs and have no idea how to manually set them. And by the name calling...I would say you don't own a D700 because kiddies do name calling.
you can say what the fuck you want as i own a photography shop that does portraits for families and i drive a spanking audi A4 with the led day lights and have loads of cash to splash, you're just a noob that's without doubt a pathetic excuse fo a human being, WHO THINKS he knows summit about cameras etc, like i give a fuck, mummys pussy washed yet??
I highly doubt you have a girlfriend with that type of mental level.
I didn't ask you what kind of car you drove. LMAO, you're must be compensating for something you're lacking if you need to flash your cash. And you're in idiot for saying something as dumb as that.
People who are wealthy, do not tell everybody...Trust me ;-).
And audi A4? Are you seriously bragging about that?
and give me ur email address and i will send a pic of me holding a banner saying "you fat cunt" to prove what i own, snapping like a fat fucking croc, what a twat you are, you sad bastard
Oh, and sounds like to me that's your dream car. Also, I'm a photographer on the side any my other job is lovely because I sit and collect my own big pay checks. Fun. I get paid to travel and attend meetings. You should try it!
as ur job is sitting down you lazy cunt, you must be at least 25 stone fatty, on prozac the same as all you other yanks, full of obesity usa, fucking full of fat cunts, there's a difference being a photographer on the side and owning your own store, you collect your big pay slips for your big wallet for your big fucking fat ass jeans, you lazy scum fucker, has ur mother and sister washed their pussies yet tell em i'll be over around 10 tonight, mm cant wait for a bit of fat milf mummy pussy
has ur mummy and sis washed their pussies yet as they are very smelly normally, cant stand fat bitches who dont wash their pussies and assholes, fucking mumy gay boy aren't you
Awesome camera, I just bought one myself with a whole bunch of extras.
And to Caitie13 not everyone uses their Cameras for close ups it's all about what you want out of your camera. I have the same 18-55mm lens and the 55-200mm vr and I use the 18-55mm more often. Nice vid.
i cant decide to buy my kit online or not cuz i dont want it to be dammage and will be hard to return it. if anyone can suggest any great websits where i can get the D90 and the Nikkor 18-200mm VR Lens from that would be great. just emal me on my page or reply. thanks

that looks like a slick camera, plus LowePro make great camera-bags (I've got one for my Nikon N65 SLR, very high quality)... good video, it's a shame the original audio didn't capture, but like you said, better than nothing!
Dude as a starter I got this today from Ebay for £245. Is it still worth that ?

Question.
Why in the hell do you people do that?
Why is it that you people buy the camera and then take the time out to video tape yourself opening the box????
I have a DSLR and I never thought about it nor saw a point in doing it.
Maybe you can explain to me what the point is.
AllAmericanGuy01 3 years ago
to show a unboxing, consider is a Hobby

But why would I wanna see somebody unbox a camera? lol
Do you see where I'm coming from?
That's like me making a video of me unwrapping a remote control to the T.v.

Yeah but see people get to see
1. Whats all included rather then just in text.
2. They get to see the item rather then pics.

They are practically the same camera but the D60 has a dust removal sensor system, a VR kit lens, 10.2 megapixels over the d40's 6. although megapixles is a bit overrated.
Your better off getting the D60 then save up for a nice lens after.
yomi1896 3 years ago
in fact if you dont make many prints over 4x6 then the d40 is better than the d40x in my opinion, as th less MP, means that that the pixels are larger in size and introuduce less noise, which means higher ISO's. so the d40 is better for low-light.
BTW i have a d300, u can check my chanel for a video tour of that and my d80 :)

good point.
So many cameras are doing this whole megapixel battle of who can get more but like you said, they are for big prints.
Most people won't be printing big poster sized pictures.
