  • A bit over flexed @ times, which is not unusual w/ todays reiners, but still classy riding.

  • i want to see the freestyle before- did anyone catch the name?

  • Beautiful horse!!! Nice job;)

  • Gosh I'm in love with this horse, especially his spins =)

  • WOW. :)

  • it's crazy

  • love the spotlight and the music!! adds the full effect!1

  • paints are almost as popular as qh's so shut up.

  • 2:40

Horse: Woohee. I ish a little dizzeh. D:

  • The four people who dont like this cant ride. Haha :)

  • Check out The Contortionist AQHA on you tube.. at 20 this horse still has the shoulder freedom to do the dressage!

  • I raise warmblood's and QH's and have seen the warmblood's do some pretty impressive slides in the pasture as well as the QH's doing some pretty impressive extended trots and lateral moves ... the trick is can the rider recreate these under saddle?

  • How can you say QH's don't have shoulder freedom? Think it takes a lot of freedom to make those really expressive spins!!

  • @AMQTRHORSE they do have shoulder freedom, just in a different way than warmbloods. a warmbloods shoulder is made to move up and out in front of them, while a quarter horse's is made to move closer to the ground. so while quarter horse's certainly can do upper level dressage you couldn't take them to WEG in grand prix dressage and expect them to win anything, they are just not the same caliber as the warmbloods

  • On that note, I'd often wondered if anyone had ever reined a warmblood ( though QH's are actually warmblood's) maybe I'll try LOL And I am getting out of warmblood's and keeping the QH'S ....my warmblood's are top quality, but not made for reining lol p.s. the crossover is western dressage

  • Its a very beautiful horse, love it's silky mane ;D

  • what a spin that horse has, beautiful.

  • Handsome guy in his tux. Gorgeous horse. Nice performance!

  • your lead changes are amazing and you both are in total sink!!! amazing and beautiful great ride!

  • Reining horses look so natural and beautiful. It's like a cooler more awesome dressage! :)

  • @MissSusieQ1998

Everything dressage horses do is completely natural, its just that we use a different type of horse so whats natural to a reiner is completely unnatural to a warmblood, and vice versa. a quarter horse could do piaffe and passage but it wouldn't be near as good as if a warmblood did it, same with a warmblood trying to do sliding stops.

  • @IndiaxPaige I'm a pretty firm believer that a Quarter Horse can do about anything as good or better (typically better) as absolutely any other breed. It's fact; they are the world's favorite horse. Guess that's why! Your right about the Warmblood thing though, they probably can't slide too good.

  • @MsHorsecrazycowgirl yeah watching a warmblood try to do a sliding stop would be really funny XD

but quarter horses dont have the nessesary shoulder freedom needed to do stuff like really good extensions or have enough reach in half-pass to be highly competative at the upper levels, not saying they can't do it, they certainly can, its just not as good as warmblood.

  • @MsHorsecrazycowgirl

Quarter Horses aren't THAT great. They just make them kinda overrated with their extensive foundations and such. What about paints? They are a crossover because the "Quarter Horse Association" didn't like their colors and kicked them out. Personally, paints are MY favorite horse because they aren't as popular.

Don't take this message the wrong way, QH's aren't the BEST things in the World. No Offense.

  • @IndiaxPaige Any horse can do any monuver, I have seen a clyde do spins. They maybe not built for it, but it was pretty damn good. And my REINING mare is BUILT like a warmblood, and she is pretty dam* good.

  • @Turnershot i whole heartedly agree with you, reining and dressage are made so that any horse no matter the breed can do the movements, they were both created with the desire to improve the horse's way of moving. However you couldn't take a clyde or a quarter horse to say WEG in grand prix dressage and expect them to win anything, they are not competitive against warmbloods at that level

  • @IndiaxPaige i'd actually like to see a warmblood atemp a sliding stop... lol

  • @caitlynjenna1234

i've never seen it, but i'm assuming it would be hilarious XD

  • @MissSusieQ1998

I like the speed and fluid movements of reining horses, I think dressage is kool, but reining has more Action! :)

  • I <3 That song and that performance was FLAWLESS! Love Love Love!

  • I wanted to go see reining at WEG, I always wanted to learn it, even though for my past 7 years of riding i've only ever done english. I got to go to WEG but my mom made me choose between the eventing and reining, and my aunt wanted to go see eventing, but i'm so happy to see there are clips of the eventing part up here :)

  • That was just jaw dropping! I loved it!

  • WEG gave me so many great goals for my horse and I. made me see how far we have come and what can be to come!

  • Gorgeous!

  • I am DYING to go there. It's like ten hours away though :(

  • this was an excellent video. and you did a great job and the horse is just beautiful what trust you two have! icould only wishfor a horse like him. i was thrown off a horse 10 ft up in the air and broke the l3 and l4 in my back...:)
