  • THE DEFINITIVE VERSION OF WLL IS ON THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME!

  • it sure is a shame that they had to tour all the time and they ruined plants voice but that led to more music and their is never a bad show

  • POLSKA!!!

  • THERE IS NO BAD CONCERTS OR ALBUMS WITH THE MIGHTY MOTHERSHIP!

  • yes, this is the really best live video version

  • @lolensmen the song remains the same!

  • ILKE HIS FUCKING SMILE WHE HE start playing the riff wow likw nice evil smile

  • from what I can remember of the day, a great concert, but you had to be there to appreciate it. Not the best performances but who cares it was Led Zep in their entirety...awesome :)

  • All I can say is I was there at Knebworth and the atmosphere was a s good as it gets.

  • It's not the best quality video upload neither, A great version of Whole Lotta Love can be heard on How The West Was Won !

  • You need Kool-aid woman i aint foolin'!

  • Somehow i got a hold of a bbc sessions of their songs and there atleast two versions that are far much better than this one and besides boogieman has a point, but... they are zep so no matter what version you'll hear you'll still get the good vibes...peace.

  • I think this sounds amazing...a lot of energy

  • yeah

  • No it isn`t!

  • msg 73 is the only best version extended uncut version.

  • i was at knebworth on both nights , for me bonzos birthday party is the best one for my ears , and seattle 73 .

  • @nedmobile Your still a piece of shit, you fag, go listen to some cold chisel you punk.

  • @aerowayne1 woah, what did this guy do wrong?

  • Despite the band's appearance, I think the overall 'sound' of their performance is brilliant here, and therefore, one of their best. To me, at least. :D

  • the best version and the worst quality

  • I loved them a lot. Since I was teenager in El Salvador.

  • 1:20 -1:40 BOOM BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You have to take into account what was going on in British music at the time. The Sex Pistols and other punk rockers were on the rise. Hell, the Stones had gone disco! The Led Zep after a few years off the road, come back after a few rehearsals and blow the minds of 75,000 people at Knebworth with balls to the wall rock for 3 hours! Amazing!!!

  • this would be the best version if i had the band in front of me

  • Ive commented recently that while I love this video, it is kinda sad to see Pagey and Bonham neck deep in their addictions. Jimmy looks really gross from heroin and Bonham looks like a bloated alcoholic. Why does that matter you say? Because For some women the whole band is like their man. I liked the way my "man" was a super hot 27 yr old skinny rocker guy in a dragon suit with blond hair and a great butt. It would be like dating a super model with horrible b.o. or a rotton front tooth.

  • Respond to this video...PLEASE!!!!!! I've heard waaaaay better versions of this song.Don't get me wrong, this isn't bad at all...but i just think i've heard a lot better versions....that's all

  • more fantastic zep improvs

  • This is definately not technically the best version of WLL, but does have a cool breakdown in the middle at around 1:46. Robert Plants voice is fading at this time of his life. But still great. I hate watching this concert because Jimmy Page looks gross from heroin, and Bonham is kind of a bloated alchohlic. Makes me sad.

  • I'm gross from heroin and a bloated alcoholic, and I'm damn handsome! Who cares what they look like?

  • First minute is the most rocking version of Whola Lotta Love live.

  • @boogiemaam Yes and even in this condition they could smoke any band in the world. Just listen to Achilles Last Stand from Knebworth on the Zep DVD.

  • @boogiemaam you can search on Led Zeppelin Bootlegs. there are soooooo many great version of WLL.

  • @boogiemaam Yeah. this is not the best. but you can search on Led Zeppelin Bootlegs. there are soooooo many great version of WLL.

  • You are retarded.

  • You suck dick?

    Yes you do...

    Do you have ears?

    Led Zep sucking live?

    Wrong! They are incredible improvisers!

They improv, do you have a fucking problem with that mate?

Or you must be just trolling taking everything not serious and just wanting to piss ppl off.

  • Comment removed

  • You have ear but you don't know how to use them... Sorry for you...

Btw check out Led Zeppelin playing How Many More Times at Royal Albert Hall, great improv, and a great performance! It's all great! :)

  • @LinkBulletBill Agreed. Zep is best.

  • no kiding thats a lot

  • knebworth 79

  • dam thats a lot of distortion

  • Apparently the riff that starts @ 1:41 Is actually what the Whole Lotta' Love riff was meant to sound like, but Page tinkered with it a bit.

  • You must be high, or have never seen any bands live before, EVER! WTF

  • It actually kicks in at around 1:46, but yeah.

I'm pretty certain that's what Whole Lotta' Love originated from.

  • No! Actually the original WLL riff is the WLL riff, this was made later through improv and ideas...

08Luke93 you're wrong, stop lying and creating rumors...

  • @LinkBulletBill

    "Stop lying and creating rumours"

I was quoting what I read in several Zeppelin biographies. I weren't creating any rumours.

So calm the fuck down you silly cunt.

  • You weren't quoting... Show the biographies. Name the sites or books where you got this from?

Because it doesn't make sense. After 10 years... No. I tried to search it out online, but no.

  • i think it's crazy that this was at Live Aid... when they played Rock and Roll to start off the set, it sounded like absolute shit...

  • this is from knebworth...

  • how can this be live aid? Bonham is on drums

  • this is not live aid

  • i fucking love the groovy sound from the 1.41, bass is also very good.

This is the best version sure thing!

  • The part of the song that begins at about 1:41is unreal. Page, even smacked out, is a rock n roll guitar immortal.

  • They really funk-a-fied the song in this!

The editor needs to get off the cocaine though. It's like MTV editing 8 years before MTV.

  • 6,62 views and 4 comments... wow lol never thought i'd see that, great song and presentation of it live, love zep

  • fucking epic

  • I love led zep but I don't think that knebworth was their high point

  • but this one single song was absulutely awesome when performed at knebworth! although there is no theremin part, this song´s a real passion of rock. and the riffs starting at 1:40 are just great I think, I can´t say I ever heard anything like this before.

  • yeah, i think by this time all the drugs were taking their toll - you can see it on their faces

  • Nah, just Jimmy.
