You guys are all acting like sex is bad. Your son will not be a healthy, well functioning person unless he has sex frequently enough. Religion hates sex. Religious people get uncomfortable and really embarassed at the mere mention of it. They wish it did not exist. The law hates teens having sex because religion hates it. As long as 2 minors consent and use male/female prophylactics, the kids will be happy, bad kids are just angry because they cant have sex enough.

I would not buy condoms for my son if I had one. This is where Im coming from, if you are not mature enough to go to the store and buy your own condoms then you are not mature enough to have sex. Plus, its gross to spend money on your kids sex life.

@travellingartistfilm I don't think I'm arrogant at all. I spent my own money on condoms and payed for my own birth control when I was a teen. I didn't expect my parents to pay for me to have sex. My daughter will have sex one day and I'd be happy to drive her to get her whatever see needs. But I am not paying for it.

I would sit down and talk with him and tell him what the consequences are of having sex at his age and recommend that he settle for heavy petting which can lead to VERY happy endings without the pregnancy issue.
I feel that it is better safe than sorry. I would rather have a well educated and well prepared young teen. You should give BOTH sides and let them decide. . . You can't control it. You can tell them to wait and treasure it but truth is if they want to do it no matter how protective you are or aware. . . they will get it done. I didn't tell my mom when i was having sex but at least I was educated and safe. . . never got anything and never got pregnant.
