Funny, people keep saying that what Assange is doing is illegal. The reason they haven't prosecuted him is because they can't. WikiLeaks simply posts information which is given to them through their sources. They aren't the ones obtaining the information, so they can't be prosecuted for that. What they're doing is releasing information that is given to them, which is completely legal. It's how the press works.

It's funny but I was going to try to defend the actions of the politicians and pundits that are against wiki leaks by saying something like, "They're just trying to defend their country". But hearing what they are actually saying makes that argument invalid. They're just trying to defend the actions that make them wealthy and not the people they are supposed to protect. The only damage done is against "US government" which is NOT = to individuals living within the government declared boundaries of the USA. Truth of what government officials have ordered & enforcers have done is needed so that non-enforcers realize that the enforcers need to be persuaded to stop OR to shun them.
