Pink AND red hats are both for 'idiots'these women make all other women look like jackasses...you are not individuals, you are nothing but followers who cannot come up with a plan for your lives
In 1998, when Sue Ellen Cooper started this, it was "The Red Hat Society", Fun and Friendship over 50. I don't know why they ever allowed anyone under 50. It never made sense to me. I am a queen of a chapter of 24 reds and 1 pink. Only because she is my niece and really wanted this. She is over 40, but not 50. I think there should be a separate society for those under 50. It just doesn't go with the original plan.
I think it is great helping Pink Hatters in their life journey. We can share so much from our own experiences. Isn't that womenhold is all about. But I do agree with the Hattitude standard that a woman should be 21+ to join a red hat chapter
I still don't agree. If you have read the book, FUN AND FRIENDSHIP OVER 50, well, it isn't anymore. What you are saying doesn't make much sense to me. We can help them other ways. This way, we still don't have a group just for us ladies over 50. And anyway, I don't think we are teaching them much with Red Hat activities. I just will never agree. I still think it should be as it was planned, Fun and friendship OVER 50.

I think the pink hats are suppossed to be a symbol of individuality. Is that irony or stupidity?
