Nice.. i just saw Ravi Shankar in concert last night in Santa Barbra... :) I play a lil guitar and was wanting to look online looking for some scales and techniques to apply to guitar, and i came across your video. you really do a great job interpritating this style to a 12 string .. thanks for the video .. and keep up the great work :)

Didn't get a chance to see him at the Arlington this year, but as able to catch he and Anoushka there twice in the past. Amazing theatre, eh? I didn't even realize he was out on the road again until I passed by the theatre w/ their names on the marquee.

The guitar is tuned on Drop D so that gives the heavy bass filling to the sound...

Jimmy Page was also influenced by Indian Classical Music and tried to play it on acoustic guitar. Your version on 12 string is also nice, good luck !

Very nice man! I would love to join you with the tabla drums on that. I was sitting here vocalizing some rhythms while I listened.  Indian music sounds great on the 12 string.

i have fallen in love with the 12 string guitar and ended up trying to play something like this yesterday and today so thankyou for providing example of what was kind of wanting to be played by my fingers or was it the guitar or the cosmos, I'm not sure.

Its basically a Phrygian Minor mode on D. The only difference is that u skip the 6th note in the mode. :)
