Jack Schaap is not god, you foolish idol worshipping crowd that are acting like the "Price Is Right" audience cheering for Bob Barker. Jesus DID MUCH MORE ACCOMPLISHMENTS THAN SCHAAP, ME OR ANYBODY IN THE WORLD.
i dont remember ANY of the New Testament preachers get a wild standing ovation...find one new testament scripture were it says to treat your pastor as equal to Bob Barker and Jesus Christ! Im AMAZED that God didnt get so angry that he didnt send a twister at the youth confrence to kill all those idol worshippers. And I say "twister" becuase Hammond, Indiana and all of chicagoland are in Tornado Alley (why else would there be TORNADO SIRENS in Hammond or Chicago?)
Now, I'm an atheist, so I could care less if you're blaspheming, but isn't it blasphemous to be practically worshiping these men? Especially Jack Schaap. What an evil man.
Love watching this video!! Just puts me right back there in my seat!! Love Dr. Schaap and his preaching and always will!! What a rush of emotion comes over me watching this.
I was there for this and it was soooo awesome, I love pastor Schapp and his wife, they are very great christians and they love God and it shines through in everything they do. I love youth conference, they always have something new and exciting going on every year and it changes lives.
But to treat him like a rock star? There should be a holy reverance. I show great respect for my pastor without cheering and whooping like I'm at a sport's event. This applause is man-centered and is based on emotion. Dr. Schaap is a sinful, fallable man. Jesus. Give the respect and praise and glory to God alone. A great preacher is not one who has people leaving the service saying, "What a preacher we have!". A great preacher has people leaving saying, "What a God we have!"
Lol, a standing ovation isn't treating him like a rock star. And the man of whom they said "what a great Savior" was Spurgeon. Read his autobiography and see how his congregation treated him. Every one can have their own opinion, but I think maybe you should get to know Dr. Schaap a little more. NOT the Schaap that you read about on the internet, but actually listen to him and meet him. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. :)
I know that it was Spurgeon. I read Shadow of the Broad Brim. I have tried not to judge anyone by what I hear from others or what people rant about on the internet. Look up "Stephen Anderson" a preacher from Arizona. People like him give bad names to everyone! He dislikes Dr. Schaap, but he disagrees with him in a poor spirit. I am glad that the Gospel is preached and that souls are saved, but we must keep our focus on Christ. NOT the First Baptist Church of Hammond. It still just seems wrong.
I am so glad to see someone has a great understanding and a great vision form God too see past what others dont. Thank you for being understanding to know they where not praising Pastor Schapp.
He did what no one else has been able to do so far, he became the pastor of a great church after a great man had pastored it and not only did it not die, it went to the next level. That, and, he's the host ;)
But... he didn't do anything. If he did accomplish anything in that church, then it will fall. Only Christ can build the church. He said "upon this rock, I will build MY church." Giving a man in the house of God seems to be sinful. Gal. 6:14 "But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ..."
Jesus Christ built His church through men, and to treat Dr. Schaap respectfully by giving him a standing ovation is not wrong. It's a whole lot better to have 6 or 7,000 teens cheering for a preacher than a rock star.
@mkestler90 "He did what no one else has been able to do so far" pppth! JESUS DID ALOT MORE THAN SCHAAP. Schaap didnt save humans from hell by being crucified, spat on, and beaten until he was no longer a human looking figure but a bloody mess in the most terrible pain that no human experinced! schaap didnt create the world.
That crowd ought to be ashamed of themselves for their worship of schaap and repent of of their dirty crime of cheering for the creation instead of the creator.
Well, you really missed out!! you should try going one year! Maybe God will speak to your heart the way he speaks to mine. God loves you, you know. If he didn't, he wouldn't have died for you. Think on that.
God does love us. But he is a jealous God and does not want to share His glory with anyone. He should not have to. A true man of God would not accept ANY glory of himself, but would reflect it all directly to God the Father. This is "man worship". It's the equivalent of kissing the Pope's ring! I don't know about all this... Schaap is a little shady for me. Especially that basphemous book he wrote. No one can argue that the book was heresy and inappropriate on every level.

Good ol fashion IDOL WORSHIP FROM 1:29-The end of the video.
Crowd: YAAAAAAAAAAAAY! HERE'S COMES OUR GOD, JACK SCHAAP THE CHRIST!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!
Jack Schaap: WORSHIP ME!!!
(Crowd cheers for him as he was Bob Barker)
I like to ask the stupid idol worshipping crowd: "Did Pastor Schaap GET CRUCIFIED AND DIE FOR YOUR SINS????"

I agree. You should get to know him first before you formulate opinions about him...there's always two sides to a story..

Why on earth do they always stand and applaud for Schaap? This just doesn't seem right.
