just fyi....it took shaq a year before he won a title with miami....he was traded jul 2004, played 2004-05 season and lost in the eastern conference finals to the pisons, who were then beat by san antonio...then in the 2005-06 season. miami won their first championship...
amazing how Kobe has matured over the past decade. I remember 2004-2007, alot of ppl hated him and called him immature/selfish. Now, noone seems to remember those days except for me.
I'm not sure if they can ThreePeat again, but with Jackson and the "uncoachable" Kobe, who knows? I'm not a Bryant fan but he is definitely the best player in the world right now.
Also what I respect about Kobe was he did not stoop down to Shaq's level with a diss record about how his A## taste. Kobe let his skills do the talking and I believe Shaq owes Kobe a big time apology.
ya shaq did kobe dirty with that rap diss even though he prob will not apologise for that he does owe him but if he wins another title without shaq then i bet he will.
All the playoff games were great. For the first time I felt the entire team functioned as a "TEAM." Kobe (whom I felt at times tended to behave egotistically) is now mature enough to let everyone shine, & shine they did!! Good work Kobe
I can tell they all worked hard...they all hung in there even when they were tired
May Gods blessings cover the entire team, especially Phil Jackson...Amen
@PostingID" Phil Jackson lets his players play" That proves that it's the players winning the championships and not Phil Jackson. The only thing Phil Jackson did was install the triangle offense that Tex Winter taught him. RND OF STORY!
Kobe, Phil Jackson and the Lakers shine in this tournament without Shaq. Nice. Dwight Howard and the Magic still gets props for hanging in there. Shaq is beside himself now for leaving the Lakers.
A win that you have to respect. As much as I dislike the Lakers, hats off to them for creating a team that they have today. With the addition of Pau Gasol and of course Derek Fisher (whom I hate the most) but without them they would not have won. I am not sure who else they have I think they have Bynum but I am not sure if he filled the season like the 3 guys and of course Bryant who had to prove that he could win without Shaq, but with Pau, yeah championship was lurking and it did.
a he look like the sissy jamaican dude off of movie cool runnings
