  • Maverick performing a split S manoeuvre. At least it'll get him laid tonight..although probably to a welsh chick

  • what are f15s doing in wales anyway i thought they were USAF ?

  • @xXLEW1Sx There's a bunch of F-15's stationed in Britain.

  • @OlderG0ds R.A.F. Lakenheath in Suffolk .. hence the LN Prefix on the Twin Tails

  • @xXLEW1Sx They utilise the MODs LFAs (Low Flying Areas) although not as often as RAF, British Army or Royal Navy Aircraft.. after all, they are Strike Eagles .. Mud-Pounders as well as Advanced Air-to-Air capabilities

  • i wonder what the people who live in the houses by the lake think of all the metal flying around :D

  • @engasal Best thing is ... There's a Hotel and a Pub there as well!

I've stayed further away from the Loop and You can hear the Jets in there nearly every day!

  • bet the guys from valley could show the yanks what low flying really is, i've seen them, they give a whole new meaning to low flying

  • @bigchiefmingingbolok I heard the RAF/ does 50 ft off the floor of these valleys sometimes---can this be true?

    50 ft takes iron guts!!

Did flight school (Civilian commercial) with a friend who's dad test piloted for the Royal Navy. He did a foreign exchange as an F-14 instructor at the USN's Top Gun school. Was chewed out by their base commander for flying below 500ft on exercise. His explanation was that in the U.K. he was accustomed to 50ft!!!

  • @ght6789we Official Quote here .. "There are three areas in the low flying system known as Tactical Training Areas. It is within these areas that Operational Low Flying is permitted. This is when fixed wing aircraft are authorised to fly as low as 100ft with minimum separation distance, although larger aircraft such as C-130 Hercules are only permitted to fly as low as 150ft."

  • You know those pilots are showin off :)

  • Where is this??????????????????????????

  • @MrRich6505 I'm pretty certain it's in Wales. It certainly looks like the British landscape.

  • @whitbyjet65 maybe Scotland? I see the GR4's often up here along the A9/Tay ...

  • Good to know atleast a few American pilots can benefit from British training standards.

  • go you good things you!!

  • God f15s are soooooo badass

  • Guy shooting this video is a taliban. hahaha video ended cuz that plane drop a bomb on him...

  • Is this open to the public? Looks so amazing!

  • @DarkestHourRock Yes it is ... just check online for Exercises/Times as you can spend days up there and see nothing! LFA7 on the MODs Website is a good place to look

  • 0:51 was he close to mach 1 ?

  • @Stuntpiloot05 im not sure..doesnt seem like he is moving that fast perhaps its the way the aircraft is cutting through the wind..there must be a lot of wind swirl round that area..i cant really comment as im in the infantry...we only see those things from a distance...good though..

  • @Stuntpiloot05 No. Just a heavily humid atmosphere.

  • AWESOME!! =D

  • F15 e's

  • Great footage - Thanks for posting

Does any know if those are F-15C's or if they are Strike Eagle's?

(I cant make it out on the video)

  • @ToonandBBfan Really is hard to tell. Besides a second seat, the conformal fuel tanks give the SE away. On this vid, they weren't zoomed in close enough to tell, but obviously, there were from Lakenheath. I was stationed there for years when the F-111F's were there.

  • @jonesy97 your lucky mate..i was in falklandslast year..the eurofighters do a lot of low level flying there too...down "mirage alley"...awesome sight..i managed to get myself sat in one when we got a tour around the hangers in mount pleasant..when i get chance ill put a video of it on here

  • There F-15E's you can see the conformal tanks (CFT's) on them

  • @ToonandBBfan Those are Strike Eagles, with the pods they have on the jet and with bulkier sides due to the conformal fuel tanks

  • aww i thought it wouldn't be audible until the plane passed, i'm just curious to know what that was as it wasn't a sonic boom

  • @Georgeous129 those were "vapes" created by high humidity conditions.

  • in the last couple of clips were those sonic booms i saw?

  • @Georgeous129 You can't even hear the plane before it passes by if those were sonic booms

  • Fantastic, I was just searching through yt for videos from the Loop and saw this, thought it looked familiar then realised it was the day I was up there :) Cheers for editing it all together, great set of passes.

  • They don't seem to be much on the low flying, compared to other pilots that do that loop they are in the clouds

  • where is this place?

  • Its hit and miss really for the F15,s.The hawks, gr4's typhoons etc seem to come round more often.

Monday to friday with noflying on weekends or bank holidays.

  • @lowf15 Just ur regular 9 - 5 ay!

  • hi mate , do they fly on certain days ,thinking of camping there for a couple of days in april , ace video ! !

  • The first clip.. WOW! Eagles are no longer extinct in Wales. Cool video mate.
