technically speaking i was allway's wondering how they made such amezing soundtrack on a fm genesis soundchip,then i found out that the japanese mastersystem and all sega genesis also has real soundeffects stored in their fm soundchip database like drums,gitar unlike other fm chips,so you,re not allway's forced to use the digital soundchannel for real instruments.
but even digital chips can have their own sound fx stored on it.
only difference is that fm saves alot of power etc but can be noisy.
Thumbs up if you used to dodge the incoming laser rain when Faust appeared and detroyed Vios knowing they where harmless, just to spice the thing up when you where alone, and ocassionally flash a friend with your "skills".

Actually, "Faust" is the name of the last boss.
The name of this boss is "Versus", although it IS called "Faust" in Thunder Force VI(which it reappears in).
