God help us, the next (want a be) President is spending time on a song. My wife, who is usually right, says that she can't be defeated to be the democratic canidate and can't be elected if she runs. If this is right she is a closet Republican. HarOLD
SENATOR JIM WEBB, VIRGINIA. Webb is a Vietnam combat Marine, awarded the Navy Cross for heroism under fire, a distinguished author, a former Secretary of the Navy.
Webb is smart and feisty. Whatever he lacks in political experience, the Clinton organization could make up for. He would add an excitement to the ticket that I can't imagine among other VP possibilities.
hmm personally. i dont care about what sex they are. i do care that the they spend hours disussing and wasting time on what song they should choose.. is that not a waste of time?
Wow... I thought she was going to ask our advice on something important. Like what we'd like her to do to help restore the constitution, or if we'd like to get rid of Federal Income tax, since 100% of it goes to pay the interest back on the National Debt (to private banks and other nations).
But no... she wants to turn politics into American Idol. Way to go, Hillary! Keep talking to us like we're dumb sheep!
i thought it was funny! Besides, didn't Bush win the last term? Really, what does that say about the majority of voters (American idol is pretty realistic.. ).
wow, a campain song? i was hoping she wanted to know what the people thought about important issues... our government is a republic... if she wants to start representing us she should start listening to that... i think you hillary should think more about that in the future....
She has been asking questions and listening to people's answers. Lay off, this probably took only 5 minutes of her time. Go look at her other videos and you'll see that she has taken the time to listen to what the American people want.
In all due respect, Mrs. Clinton. How superficial can you be? I can't wait until you ask our advice as to what you should wear in the next Democratic "debate". . . As if we are all simple minded and would rather not be bothered with something that requires a little critical thinking? I for one, would rather have a president that won't condescend to me.
Is this what our Democracy has come down to... Feel like we are a part of the system by voting for a campaign song... seriously? If I had to pick, it would be: Don't Stand So Close To Me - the Police...
For some reason I thought that she was asking the american people what they want in a leader. Silly me. She just wants you to feel involved by picking out a theme song! Wow lucky you -_-
Most important question of the campaign? How ridiculous that this is one of the most viewed candidate videos when it has no relevance on the future of our country.
at this point hillary, I believe its is good that you are asking for advice instead of forcing it... but WE HAVE WAYYY MORE THINGS TOO WORRY ABOUT THAN A SONG AT THIS POINT... how about you get advice on how to stop BUSH and terrorism and RACISM, World history is a lesson on what we shouldnt do.. and its happening right now.. unless some1 stops it..
last comment- human nature is inclined to make mistakes and the wisest thing a human can do is to admit to the mistakes they've made (such as voting for the iraq war).
also, the irony of someone recommending cold as ice and ice ice baby. vanilla ice ripped off under pressure! queen and bowie were the ORIGINAL co-writers of this song (keep that in mind).
humor left aside, i think under pressure by david bowie and queen sounds perfect (not just for a theme song) but generally for this era that the american citizens are facing. i'll finally be of the legal age (19) to vote for this election and i think this video is a perfect example of the hillyarious clinton. not only does it show her sense of humor but the video in itself is also reaching out to a younger audience and more importantly, it's through music (what more of a better way?).
Abe asked for the people's opinion every day. She has asked for it once. And why just a song, why not ask us about health care, the war, or immigration?
HIllary needs a medley of songs: "The Taxman" by George Harrison with choruses of "Evil Woman" and "Devil in a Red Dress" and a rousing end chorus of "Your'e Not Woman Enough" If only.
Just when you expect her to ask something relevant, show interest in what the public views are, she asks for a damn CAMPAIGN SONG. Seriously, get your priorities straight.
That is how she had to get Americas attention, talking about something nice and simple such as a campaign song. It worked. NOW she can talk about her priorities. ;)
Question: WHY IS IT THAT WHILE THIS CLIP IS GIVEN 2 STARS, YET EVERY COMMENT IS POSITIVE???? This is EXACTLY why I will not vote for her... she is bar-none the most propagandistic politician in the United States. Where are the critical interviews by the press? Where are the legitimate debates? When has Hillary Clinton EVER taken responsibility, for ANYTHING????????
I hate to say it, but the first one that comes to mind is "Ice Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice. But maybe " Cold As Ice" by Foreigner is just as good. Anyways, gotta go - this page is giving me the chills.
bad choices are often made, the intelligent individuals know to learn and grow from their mistakes, from her current viewpoints (and America's current stance) I do not believe she would have the same opinion now (just my observation, of course)
How about we all just realize that she isn't a real presidential candidate and that if Hillary Clinton is elected president that I am moving to Canada?
Oye, now you're making me fantasize about a world in which all the close-minded individuals moved out of America *sigh* ;) Can you tell me why she is not a "REAL" candidate? lol
I think once you are President you should plan within the first year of visiting all daycare centers across the Nation, even the less known daycare centers and make sure that Directors are following ratio's. Most centers rarely follow ratio's, for instance you will often find that centers move kids around to other rooms to make it look like all the classrooms are in ratio when licensing comes. Often there will be a three's teacher with 26-30 kids by herself with no help.
Hilary I hope a near future endeavor of yours will be to make it mandatory that all ECE (early childhood educators), i.e, daycare Teachers start at at least $10.00 dollars an hour. We are helping to raise America's children, but right now we start at about $7.25 and only get a .15 cent raise each year, Mcdonalds employees make more money that Daycare Teachers. Please, this is an atrocity. More money for daycare Teachers, means less turn over rate.
Furture Madame President- Allow me to please convey that America needs a song that is not only uplifting, but empowering. A song that indeed will convey to every women, man and child that a New Day is coming! CELINE DION'S SONG: A NEW DAY HAS COME, I believe would be the best song.
Imagine..."interactive politics"...that would certainly change the face of things. Regarding Clinton...Mrs...I think she's great. I like everything about her.
I am thinking Seasons of Love from the movie Rent (I say the movie because it is a cleaner recording). It will cover many demographics from the religious to the Broadway lovers. It also displays your understanding for just how short life is and what someone can accomplish in it.
OK...I'd rather we focus on the issues...but...if you REALLY need a song...then I say go withTom Joyner's idea... WAKE UP EVERYBODY...by Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes...cuz it rings true even now.

HILLARY!!!!!! I HAVE THE PERFECT IDEA!!!!!!!! the thong song..... and when you become president... make it the nation anthom.. ;) ... which probably won't happen if your election is as bad as my spelling.
It gives you a smart "everywoman" quality, while adding sex appeal without "aging" you as some classic rock/pop songs may have the tendency to do. Rock on, Madame Prsident, wit' yo bad self!!! BTW, YA GOTTA HAVE WJC AS VICE PRESIDENT!!! You, as a team, gave us the best decade our nation's seen in a long time, and IT'S TIME FOR A SEQUEL!

No war in Iraq. No genocide in Africa. No social despondancy and degeneration here in the U.S. She wants a campaign song? Hmmm

She's pro-amnesty, so it doesn't matter what song she chooses, she won't get my vote.

Stick with the classic soul music.

How 'bout we focus on the real issues instead of a freaking campaign song, Hillary?

Given your singing talent I suggest something by Leonard cohen. I'm not an American, but I'd love to hear 'the future'
