I've been mentioning that EVH didn't even make "Rolling Stone Top 50 Guitarists" and his fans have, as predicted, rotely, uniformly dismissed RS as "your a total absolute fagot crap mag".
So, without my looking - if VH the band or any of their songs do show up in any RS "Best of" I must uniformly dismiss these lists as as total absolute fagot crap, too.

I think most good guitarists can copy what he did and does, but he was the one that originated that style of guitar playing. It is the trailblazers, the ones that lead the way for others that are the truly talented ones. Who was doing what he was doing in 1977? I think that was when their first album came out? What rock guitarists were around then? Jimmy Page, Steve Howe, David Gilmour, etc...
I think Eddie deserves a lot of credit for changing rock guitar in a new direction.
