Would this controller work with a hardware Matrix 6 synth? I'm thinking that the fact that the Matrix 6 uses negative values might be a problem... Do you know? Otherwise I'll just pick one up and send it back if they're not compatible
@Tuesander The BCR2000 is completely customizeable, you can assign different CCs, NRPNs etc. per control and too can define the value range, and save all as whole sets; there's really nothing it can't do; so I'm pretty sure you can get it working with the Matrix 6
I'd like so much to play piano like you did, your fingers are just running on the keyboard, that would really help me out ^^ Did you learn by yourself or piano lessons? Anyway, now i'm decided, after a long time hesitated between the BCF2000, the UC 33 and the BCR2000, i'm gonna buy the BCR2000 :)
There's no separate program used for it; you can freely program the knobs and buttons of bcr2000 and then save the whole setting as preset; the easiest way to do it is use the learn function (so just set a knob to learn and them move a knob on the softsynth)
@virtualoberheim I don't see any type of scribble-strip located under each of the knobs of the BCR2000. How do you keep up with what knob on the BCR2000 controls which parameter on the OPX??
I played the demo of OP-X Pro for hours and hours and I can't get enough of it. Never heard such living sounds from a software. I always loved the Oberheim-Sound and now it's affordable.
Especially the possibility of change parameters for each voice is a reason for buying it! Sequencer lines become lively as hell!
id like to hear some nice brass stabs that would be found in funk music, i know oberhiems are known for that but im yet to find a video on youtube showcasing that strongpoint.
Thanks. It does not send the program change to the BCR, but directly to OP-X. OP-X itself sends then a full MIDI CC dump of all new parameter settings to the BCR. The BCR is connected by USB cable to the computer (two ways), the keyboard by MIDI cable (only one way). The BCR is a great device, can highly recommend it.
What kind of stnad have you got the BCR2000 on ?? i got a bcr coming in on order, and was thinking about where im gunna put,, a stnad like yourve got would be great.

It's the preset "OB Sustain Brass", preset no. 9 in the factory bank of OP-X (in the PRO version this bank is included as opxpro_opxfactory20)

That's the chords of Madonna's "Live To Tell", however transposed to a lower key because the bass sounds cooler there :-)
