Well, wait a minute! Didn't Link's uncle die in Link to the Past? And didn't a guard die in Ocarina of Time when you find him in the Alleyway? And didn't Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule die when Hyrule was drowned in the end of Wind Waker?
You're trying to tell me that people don't die in Zelda?! I don't think so!
Do u think that kafei in MM is links counterpart? I only say this because that have a few similarity's. 1 they were both magically forced to change age, 2 you got to play as both of them, and 3, they are both have courage
...I was thinking, didn't they split the timeline AGAIN in SS? One timeline when Link uses the triforce to kill Demise (as the Imprisoned), and the other official timeline when he kills him as Demise in the past after being resurrected and all that (I haven't finished the game yet, but I know this is why Ganondorf keeps coming back). It could lead to a totally different Zelda universe.
Why would link just leave the Triforce out in the freaking open at the end of SS?! It frustrates meeeeee. Also, when ghirahim comes back to the future to steal Zelda, then why doesnt he just go for the Triforce that is literally JUST outside? Or why doesn't link go back out there to wish away the ordeal again?? The logic of why things happened doesn't really work IMO.
@xValerieAnnex I think the answer to your second question is because Demise had been completely eradicated, so Ghirahim had no use of the Triforce. And the answer to your third is because once Ghirahim stole Zelda to the past they were out of the reach of the triforce in the present. Or at least this is how I look at it :)
At the end of Skyward Sword, I know the Master Sword was placed back in the pedestal of time in preparation for Ocarina of Time but what about the Triforce? Wasn't the Triforce at the end of SS left in (the to be) Hyrule, where as in the beginning OoT the Triforce was in the safety of the sacred realm? Am I missing something?
@DetectiveXfactor well remember what impa said she said it needed to be hidden away again so somewhere between ss and oot it was hidden in the sacred realm
@heroofmask So my next question would be, how? I feel a possible game opening, how about you? With the Master Sword in the pedestal of time isn't it impossible to enter the Sacred realm?
@DetectiveXfactor easy remember rarue saying the ancient sages built the temple well maybe they will make a game based on that also basing it on the creation of the sacred realm to hid the triforce maybe another evil forcw tries to take it like with ss
@GNRegime92 actually this has been noted by a few accounts especially after skyward sword that their relationship is more of a friendship bond than anything.
When you think of the official Timeline in Hyrule Historia and look at the branch where Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are, do you think that Nintendo will make a sequel to those games to the 3DS or will they make a significant Zelda-game for the 3DS? PH and ST are to the NDS so I would guess that there could be a possibility that the 3DS Zelda-games would continue on that branch of the timeline.
In ocarina of time the game sort of mentions links mother but doesn't even hint that he has a father. I have heard that either his father was a hylian soldier or ganadorf. Do you believe one if these is true? And if not who do you think he is?
Do you think nintendo should port the zelda cdi games to the wii or 3ds store and if they did should they be straight ports or updated with new visuals?
question 2
what do think about the concept of an excisting zelda being relaunched as a turn based rpg?
@jinzo64 noooooooooo becouse first there not accually zelda games more like parodys do to it not being licened or made by nintendo and 2 they are terrible and the controls are so stupid
Link: The Faces of Evil, Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon and Zelda's Adventure are three action-adventure games produced by Philips for the CD-i as part of The Legend of Zelda video game series. The Faces of Evil and The Wand of Gamelon were developed by Animation Magic and were both released on October 10, 1993 and Zelda's Adventure was developed by Viridis and released on June 5, 1994.
@jinzo64 there still not legit zelda games nintendo had nothing to do with them so hence forth they dont go in with the other zelda game the cdi games where made by a completly diffrent gamming company not nintendo no was the work supervised and besides thos games are terrible
As part of the negotiations related to Nintendo's decision not to have Philips create a CD add-on to the Super Nintendo, Philips secured the rights to use five Nintendo characters in The games were given little funding or time for completion, and Nintendo provided only cursory input. The games were poorly received, due to the barely functional controls, and the games have gained notoriety more recently as their full motion video cutscenes have become widely available
@bastianzu Whoops, after looking though some of the mailbags in search of the mailbag; I found out it was Jason that did a discussion on it, not Cody. Sorry about that... The title of the mailbag is "Freakin' Diamonds!" Or something like that, and the question starts at 3:20. I think it's interesting seeing the different views on the subject of a mature Zelda game. However, you're probably right in how it would probably never happen.
do you think ghirahim from skyward sword could ever come back ive someone like ganon/ganondolf saying somthing like this sword has bateled you meny times in the past or he comes back in his humam form i would love it if he came back so what do you think i would love to see what you think
I'd like to see a Wind Waker-esque game, in that there's a much more open environment, where I loved seeing that they took almost like Ocarina of Time environments and added to it. I'm thinking of the sections of the game under the ocean, and the giant temples near the end of the game. I loved that. Though this has nothing to do with the timeline.
I believe that you, yourself must decide what a mature Zelda game is. I believe that Majora's Mask was mature just in the complex story line and what not. Even Wind Waker is kind of dark like the end with Ganon basically going crazy. I believe it's just how someone sees mature. Not every game that has blood and guts and gore are mature. This was a good mailbag though :)
In ocarina of time they say that Ganondorf and his army or something invaded Castle town. But where is the Great army when you are an adult? Hyrule field has nothing but ghosts and almost all enemies are in the dungeons.
A mature Zelda would add: cutting off heads, arms, lags, add lots of blood ,bad words XD and maybe some really fucked up boss that can only be added to a M rated game?
What do you think of a game set on the end of the child timeline, after Twilight Princess and Four Swords Adventures. At the end of Four Swords Adventures, Ganon was sealed within the Four Sword, and much like Vaati it should be possible to somehow release him from the sword. What do you think of a game where the villain tries to release Ganon from the Four Sword? Perhaps the villain could wield the Four Sword while you, as Link, wield the Master Sword against it? What are your thoughts on this?
I love the air quotes when Bastian mentions a "mature Zelda game". I never understand it when people ask "What would a mature Zelda game be like?" There are already a few out there to choose from.
Now if what you're REALLY asking is "What would a gory and mindlessly violent Zelda game be like", THEN that's another story. My response has always been "I don't know; when is Sony gonna make a family friendly God of War game?"
Throughout the Zelda series there is multiple enemies that Link has to face. (Spoilers) At the end of SS you fight Demise who says that he will curse Link for all eternity or something like that. Is every main villain in the Zelda series caused by Demise or is it just Ganon?
(continued from last comment) Link with the Ocarina of Time as he leaves Hyrule (I am referencing MM, just so you know), after "not knowing him for that long". If you agree with me, please like this comment so that everyone can see it!
@Chieftains187 In the game, the Deku Tree Sprout says that Link's mother took him to the Kokiri Forest to "escape the ravages of war" (or something to that extent). If he and Zelda were siblings, why would she take one child and not the other?
Dear Zelda Universe, There are many hints throughout the game Ocarina of Time that hint that link and zelda are related, and possibly siblings. For example, Zelda has no mother in the game, and it was a woman who gave Link to the Deku Tree. Also, Impa trusted Link with "Zelda's Lullaby", a song that only royal family members are allowed to know. And, finally, when Link introduces himself to Zelda, she mentions that there is "something familiar" about his name. In addition, Zelda trusts
@Chieftains187 haha you've pretty much summed up all the hints I was going to mention in response to Bastian's reply to my question! There is another hint too when you learn the sun's song from the ghost composer brothers. One of them says that Link reminds him of the princess.
@Chieftains187 All that says is that Link is actually Hylian not a Kokiri, As the hero he needed to song to progress through the game and get others to trust you, I believe Impa even says she'll make an exception for Link. The Zora know Zelda's Lullaby, it is a song that shows that someone has an AFFILIATION with the royals. Something familiar about his name might suggest she has heard legends of the original Hero, who was most likely named Link. You know, the one from Skyward Sword.
You have a point with the Zoras knowing Zelda's Lullaby, but I don't think its a coincidence that Impa would trust a 12 year old boy with such an important song.
Well, wait a minute! Didn't Link's uncle die in Link to the Past? And didn't a guard die in Ocarina of Time when you find him in the Alleyway? And didn't Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule die when Hyrule was drowned in the end of Wind Waker?
