  • Nicely shot, and I guess a brief glimpse of my head now makes me a YouTube celebrity! I think the 37 was insurance after the fiasco of Tangmere's run on Armistice day. Either way she looked and sounded lovely, and as you've seen on my video was rattling nicely through Leigh on the return. As you're a local I've hit "subscribe".

  • @theguitarsmith happy to provide anyone with their 15 minutes of fame! Glad you subscribed, hope you enjoy.

  • Mr No one - I was on the other side of the train, so you can't see me!

  • Nice shots. Talk about action packed with the water over flowing and the valve releasing !

  • Oops. What a waste of water. The engine looked good in the low water sunshine. I learnt from a TI who is based at Crewe why a lot of steam engines slip these days. That was a good start by Tangmere but the Growler helped. Is the shock the Growler? Take a look at KINGANDCASTLE filming at Streatham. Looks like Tangmere wasn't doing anything. Barry

  • @bkendlerA4 No, the shock was the pressure relief valve going off. We were right by the engine and under the footbridge when it went. When you are that close they go with a bang, and all the steam came straight down via the footbridge. I don't mind, even applaud, putting a growler on the back, it makes sense, but it was doing all the work. I want to see a steam engine putting some effort in.
