  • You sure you have the correct date?

  • So you mean to say that it is possible to tell by the use of astrology that James Randi can be quite a sceptical person. That's amazing. I hope he sees this video or he may never find that out about himself.

  • haha, good luck with life!

  • ha, you deleted it.

    chickenshit.

  • which one fucktard?

  • @guitaoist the one LoboDeMedianoche13 replied to. The one where I called you out for predicting what everybody already knows.

The one you noticed because it was voted up so much.

    You disgusting wannabe charlatan.

  • Most of the skeptics of astrology that I have across have a taurean influence. The sun in leo close to the MC confirms Randi's self obsession with himself. Libra rising is someone who wants to avoid conflict. It must be stressed that the star of the show is Randi and not the performer. There is a lot of rigidity in the chart (fixed signs) so Randi's views are not for changing.

  • precisly guy :)

  • I have no experience in astrology, so pardon the question... Isn't that circular logic? Can't you just get Randi's birthday from the correct source and then shift your data and calculations until it fits?

The basic error-checking would dictate you'd need to calculate something you never knew about Randi, and have that be right, and consistently right.

Can astrology do anything like that without being so vague as to be unusable is the question.

  • shift what calculation? this was my first reading. that other guy i could care less about his wrong interpretation.

my 3000 pages worth of astrological works is not vague. your newspaper is.

  • @guitaoist "shift what calculation?"

    I dunno.

I mean, unless you're just claiming clairvoyance, there's got to be some methodology and data to base this all on, right?

"my 3000 pages worth of astrological works is not vague"

    Ironically very vague answer...

But, anyway, can you demonstrate, along the lines of this video, anything that couldn't be attributed to simple circular logic, or vague interpretation? Because this video can be.

  • Tell us something about James Randi that nobody knows, if you are really privilege to information from divine sources. That shouldn't be so hard, right?

  • strawman?

  • @guitaoist It's a straw man if you do not believe that astrology can divine information from supernatural sources, do you or do you not believe that? But, I have to ask, if astrology can only make you privilege to information that's readily available then what use is it? And furthermore how can you demonstrate that said information did not come from guesswork/cold-reading, or simply reading something factual about your subject?

  • no its a strawman to claim things that i never said, which is what you did, bundle me into a group that YOURE familiar with criticising.im not just an astrologer anyways who said its privelaged? im giving it too u now ?

    "factual about my subject"

thats like saying beethovens music isnt factual if he didnt hear it somewhere first..the ART of astrology is the art of interpretation like philosophy... do you read philosophy? cause i you would gain more bakground with some kind of psychology study.

  • @guitaoist By "your subject", I meant the person you are reading. None of these horoscopes say anything about James Randi (the subject) that cannot be read from a factual source.

So, again, if you don't claim that astrology divines information from supernatural sources, what good is astrology?

  • 1. not true, its up to an astrologer to have the authority to make a new claim about a reading and its done quite frequently for the advanced student. it doesnt have to "be read somewhere first" lol you dont know what arena youre getting in.

what is this supernatural source you referring to that apparantly is your arguement against me? where did i say that? i give a raeding based on the archetypes of the placements...not just on my memory..once again its like a song interpretation...infinite

  • @guitaoist You don't seem to understand the point I am making, at all.

  • and you understand me with no prior actual serious study of the subject?

    lol

  • @guitaoist At this point I'm just going to /facepalm at you, the conversation that's taken place is now a matter of public record unless you go and delete the comments.

  • what conversation?

you say something to the extent of "since its not from supernatural forces, what good is it spiritualy?"

and i say, "but the spirituality is WITHIN the astrologer/artists interpretation so yes, you SHOULD GO TO MANY ASTROLOGERS TO GET A CORRECT READING"

so...what else are you trying to convey to this READER of what he actually criticizes?

  • Agreed, most people believe anything to be supernatural when you can just read a book and find out the same things.

  • what r u talking about i gave a reading not that youve had one to know what to look for

  • nany nany boo boo

  • So many people *seem* to have these 'great' water/fire etc. -trines...

    My e-astrology-peen is shrinking. :p

  • wow that's cool....if I tell ya my birthday could ya do mine?

  • ill give u some pointers

  • Ai the Oh ronny!
