  • thanks for the video...

  • Thanks for all your benevolence, really admire it.

Have a question, say if I want to sum sales greater than 5000 for a particular sales rep, then how should I approach it.

  • SUMIF with criteria: ">5000"

  • Love your insight. I am trying to count/average only groups(1-20, 21-40, 41-60, ect.) of instances and have not been able to get it to work in excel. I have been successful on using COUNTIF and AVERAGEIF on the total scores, but not for a range of games.

Example:3 different people are entering their bowling scores into a spread sheet.

    Name: Score:

    Bob 110

    Ed 187

    Tim 152

I am looking for an average and a count for each player for games 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, etc.

    Any suggestions?

  • Dear jdwoody0north,

If you have it set up in Excel List/Table/Database format (field names at top, records in rows) and you have a game column, the easiest way would be to do a Pivot Table. There are also Array formula that you could use.

Is your data set up this way?

  • Dear tirathmistry,

Shift + F3 to open Insert Function dialog box. Then select the category Financial.

Also, you can watch my Finance Playlist to see many Finance examples.
