it all depends on the type of mission you play. in coop we have 30 players or more most of the time. you should downlaod addon sync 2009, you will be able to see all the servers and download all the addons needed to play! cheers

I own Arma II and have been having a few problems with my 4870 and the game; while waiting for that to get patched out, does anyone recommend getting the original to hold me over? I was under the impression it was a relic with bad graphics and the like, but this honestly looks great.

well if you look at it from a graphics point of view sure it's bad but the features in ArmA w/ ACE are simply mind blowing! no other game/simulation even comes close to it and ACE2 is comming out this week so it's gonna be awesome to have graphics AND features.

Ace mod makes things more Realistic as in Medics now carry bandages,Morphine, and epinephrine.

As in Normal ArmA all you can do as Medic is use the

action "Heal At Medic"

Things like that make ACE more Real than regular ArmA

No Because this is a Mod and 360/PS3 would not have the same capabilities of such high numbers in Players/Equipment as a PC. Hope that answered your question

Not really, the vbs 1 was released a year after operation flashpoint, so it was the game that made the platform that the army uses. Same story with Armed Assault and VBS 2.

I LOVE COD4 but its a different type of shooter, its action orientated and its good. Yet when it comes to military simulation then this game here, regardlessof me never playing it, is awesome and the real deal. Can't wait for ARMA 2 to be released on Xbox 360 (also PS3 and ofcourse PC)... I just saw the previews earlier.

well you can choose any sound mod for the normal Arma (I use Chammy's sound mod), but the ACE mod has it's own sounds that are pretty good in my opinion.

@the1nonlyjim VERY few people still play the ORGINAL ArmA online, but many play the 2nd one and ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead. All 3 are GREAT games. The original ArmA is really only worth it for mods nowdays, but if you have the money buy either ArmA 2 or ArmA 2:OA. OA has less content but takes place in the Middle East and ArmA 2 has more content but takes place in an area based off the Czech Republic. Try the demos to see which you like most.
