  • Beautiful playing.

  • This kid is funny, that expression in the beginning was priceless. Interesting guitar playing too

  • a tune like that can be found on the Islands album or even in that pre-KC project called Giles, Giles and Fripp. Nice work man! awesome!

  • keep it going dude, fripp is a monster, maybe i upload one of my songs too, cheers!!

  • Great work but the original is three times faster.

  • เล่นได้เก่ง เพราะมากค่ะ

    from Bangkok, Thailand

  • Hey Very Nice

Fripp is my Hero Too !

Please Check out my Vocal Impersonation

    Greetings :D

  • very nice!

  • Anyone else notice that the harmony sounds very similar to Prelude: Song of Gulls from the album Islands? Great job btw.

  • haha exactly what I thought!

  • really nice guiatar!!!

  • enjoyed that.

  • great playing and tone! fripp rules!

  • Hell yes.

  • It only makes a bad sound if your technique is wrong for the type of guitar/setting you are using. tons of gain require a different (more precise) approach than nylon, of course. The bottom line is that you are happy with what you are doing.

  • That's odd because you can never play as fast using one pick as you can using 5 picks. It may be a great exercise to develop coordination and speed using the pick but you'll never match someone who uses two or more fingers of the picking hand for speed across strings. I think you also mean "trill" instead of "tremelo". Tremelo is a change in volume.

  • Trill is a fast slur, tremolo picking is really fast repetition of a note, like what mandolin players do.

There's no reason to argue that it would be easier to perform using finger-style technique, the point of adapting such a study to picking technique is to push what one can achieve with it. Those are two completely different worlds of guitar playing. You can do things with a pick which you can't with fingers, and vice-versa.

Nice description of the electric guitar! I've played Fripp stuff for years and, yes, I do use a pick sometimes; the decision simply depends on the mechanics required for the desired execution... If you're after the old "motto'" then you need look no further than Dragon Force! Jokes aside, the axeman in the video is pretty good.

  • muy bien

  • Nice wrist pal

  • nice!

  • do oyu make your own music?, cuz well, with the fripp influence i believe anyone who "loves" it can make really good music, so do you?, where.

  • The piece is a derivation of "Asturias", which, when you see it played with fingers, begs the question, 'why would you play it with a pick!?' Look up a Segovia version. Just quietly, Fripp also has been known to play with his fingers!

  • i don't recognize "Asturias" at all, and i'm a flamenco player, but i think you are right, the tremolo will never be as clean as if it was played with fingers

  • cool

  • i always loved that song

  • Yes Fripp is a legend

  • Thats nice good work

  • dude, awesome. You > Me.

  • hello, do you mind sending me the tabs for the song? i like this peice =) just started playing guitar haha.

  • That is awesome, I'm trying to learn this. Did you use the tab at elephant-talk? It seems to be rather accurate.

  • Or did YOU make the tab at elephant talk?

  • i am charles and i did wrote the tab years ago! enjoy!

  • Nice! Thanks, it's really good.

  • You'll find it on the Giles Giles and Fripp 'Brondesbury Tapes' CD, it's pre-Crimso stuff from 1968-early 69.

  • I love Robert, he is my hero!

  • Awesome playing dude. Forgive my ignorance, but is this from one of the Guitar Craft projects, or do you have access to some secret trove of music that I have not yet heard?

  • nice

  • thx!

  • play it more staccato dude. otherwise good technique,

  • it was meant to be played like that, check giles giles & fripp "brondesbury tapes" CD

  • Thanks! Playing the tremolo on the classical guitar is very rich sounding I concur but playing the tremolo with a pick on a steel string is challenging man!
