  • Dynamite is quicker.

Oh, someone beat me to this...

  • dynamite is faster

  • 5 hours later he was done...Very easy!

  • Me and my bro took an ax to the roots put one end of a chain around it and the other end to the back of a pick up truck...that was all she wrote.

  • I'll stick to the 80hp Carlton. Little stump like that takes about thirty seconds.

  • I thought he was gonna light some dynamite, damn it.

  • Drink a beer

  • I cant believe I just wasted my time watching that.......

  • haha get out of the way there chum, i'll chop it out with my Polaskii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • personally I use my excavator.. and the waggabloke is right.. if its been fairly dry for couple of weeks that method can cause root fire that will travel through the root system of the tree, and I might add that the root system of a tree is aproximately 10 times as wide in radius as the tree crown itself, so root fire can travel quite a distance, I seen it in action on numbers of occations as I'm a volonteer fireman for our community, so yeah.. real stoopid method

  • We use TNT

  • will it blend?

  • Where's that guy's beer?

  • BELLEND!

  • Who are they kidding? That stump is still there today and looks exactly the same because the guy died of old age while trying to burn it.

  • Back in the old days. We would set our garbage barrel over a stump, throw our garbage in it and about a week later move it looking for a new stump to remove.

  • I prefer explosives.

  • 4 days, 27 Propane cannisters & 1 Tree Stump later..

His wife decides to call hire a JCB earth mover which destroyed it in 20 seconds The rest of us; ah well, we feel happy knowing theres always someone more stupid on this planet & can always be found on YT showing us Red Neck techniques of wrong tool wrong job wrong way.

  • Easy? ! That would take a YEAR to get rid of the tree. In most places, it's illegal to BBQ a tree stump out of the ground anyway. Charcoal or regular coal works fine, but takes a week and is usually illegal.

  • 24 seconds of m life: GONE!

  • And after 24 seconds, the stump is still there.

  • Wait till he's done, gets up, turns around and his lawn has grown into a forest, and there's a new WalMart across the street.

  • "How do you like your stump?"

  • @Maxid1 Almost fell off my chair laughing !

  • @KJVWordofGod You AFOMCLed? Then in the interest of safety, please buckle up before Youtubing!

  • Termites would perhaps be quicker?

  • @Squarerig I think wind erosion would be quicker...

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

  • Didn't you know it would be much quicker and easier if you used a spoon?

  • Shit, by the time he gets finished the Du Mont network will be back

  • When i saw the words 'remove' 'stump' and 'easy' in the same sentence i knew it was too good to be true

  • Wtf! h4x0rz

  • Six pack?

    18 at least

  • aint that why they make dynomite???

  • wouldn't it be chaper and quicker to hire a man with a stump grinder?

  • you could build a fire and on top of the tree stump get a lawn chair and 6 pack then sit back and watch it burn or you can use a leaf blower to speed up the progress.

  • Use thermite

  • What a waist of fuel just build a fire on it and walk away!

  • or . rent a stump grinding machine .. for this small stump , as well do Do make sure that the stump is removed deep enough or ground downward by stump grinding machine ; for the roots OR stump part .. wow does NOT re grow .. an no chem is needed that way. fill the hole in with topsoil =dirt.

  • @Soundgarden8497 this video should be re-titled to HOW TO BE A BORED REDNECK

  • This bloke has no Idea what troubles he mostly is coursing because you don't burn stumps out as the root of the tree can burn for years and years and years!!!!! you never ever burn stumps out... Total tossa... must be a city slicker??? from the BIG SMOKE!!!!!! no idea at all.

  • @TheWaggaBloke I dont know what kind of creepy assed tree you're thinking of, but I've never seen a stump burn for more than a few hours without help. That being said, a blowtorch is an INSANELY STUPID way to remove a stump.

  • @TheWaggaBloke

Very true! A good example. We had to remove some old pine trees for a bloke. One of the trees about 400 hundred metres away was struck by lightning. And the roots burnt for a week or so right up to the other tree. The one that was about 400 hundered away. And burnt it down!!! I took a crow bar to the dirt around the second burn't stump. And it all caved in i followed the caved hole right back to the other tree proving it burnt under the ground!!!!

    Scarey!!

  • must be an american !

  • gay and fake lol

  • @Jx1x3 fake and gay

  • Blow torching a tree stump. One degree less time consuming and meticulous over using a belt sander.

  • I was hoping all the anticipation would amount to something, but the dislike bar does not lie.

  • @Me102288 "so, feel comfortable brazing that 35 ton steel roll carrier?"

Cumon you tard This is not the correct situation to use brazing but in your wealth of supposed knowledge you should have known this and not used a fucking stupid example like this! its like me telling you to weld togeather a 20mm steel pipe with a wall thickness of 2mm with a 4 mm low hydrogen rod it just aint going to happen because this is not the right tool for the situation!. get a life retard!

  • yep, cause everyone has one of those lying around the house

  • how to catch the forest around you on fire, most forest fires are cause by people's camp fires catching onto the roots and travelling underground to nearby trees where the flame resurfaces and causes a forest fire. This gentlemen just demonstrated the best way to remove a stump, but maybe also the rest of the forest around him.

  • @SkanZengineering Where on earth did you come up with that tale? The dumb ass shit that people post these days...

  • @SkanZengineering There is something missing from the basics of fire technology in your proposed forest fire starter, oxygen.

  • The only thing he is removing is my desire to see another stupid video like this one!

  • another retard

  • should have used time lapse!!

  • Fake and gay. Lol

  • And who'd thunk I just took an axe, my muscles, and 30 minutes of time to get rid of my stumps...

Of course, if you have a backhoe...

  • I think the point this poster is making is that you start a stump fire and let it burn for days until the stump material is mostly consumed.

In case you had a dumb look on your face and were just about to post some ignorant crap a city dweller might say to this technique.

I would have to say though... some dynamite would've been a helluva lot more interesting for youtube.

  • In one easy step!! how you waste my time.

  • That looks like it would take a long time. It might be easier to drill some holes in the stump, throw some gas on it, and light a match.

  • @rubert134 better yet. drill holes. fill with diesel and light it. diesel will burn for days...

  • What an idiot! and waste if time.

  • nobody said welders are smart

  • @MrFingers1974 welder? welding isnt done with a torch,., thats called brazing, and its weak as hell compared to MIG, TIG or Heliarc

    I'm a welder fitter.

  • @Me102288 a cutting torch is commonly used by welders. maybe not as common nowadays. sorry if i offended you , I was just bugging a welder friend of mine with the comment

  • @MrFingers1974 for cutting it used to be, but plasma cutters do a much nicer job many many times faster. thus, many no longer use them.. or the use Hydrogen burning torches so they can actually cut through a inch of steel with waiting 5 minutes for it to get hot enough, leaves are really nasty edge too :-\

  • @Me102288 sounds like you read a couple of books and now your think you can educate everyone on youtube. i am not a welder by trade but could probably do a better job than you. Iol just give it a rest for you sound like an idiot

  • @Me102288 I didn,t really expect any of you guys to be able to read my comments lol

  • @Me102288 try a youtube search for "oxy acetylene welding". I hope you didn't much for your welding lessons...

  • @mally88212 LOL how many tons will a braze hold.. 0

I rest my case.. its not welding, after WELDING 2 pieces of steel together it becomes one piece.

Now.. brazing is no longer ACCEPTABLE for joining metal, most would rather bolt the fuk'in thing together before that.

BRAZING IS a usefull way to hold metal together TEMPORARILY before you weld it..

then again, spot welding does the same thing, 100x faster..

so, feel comfortable brazing that 35 ton steel roll carrier? or not,

  • @Me102288 Again dipshit you open ya mouth without thinking...WHAT SITUATION do i face and WHAT PROCESS IS REQUIRED!...I braze copper pipes daily and yes brazing is no where close to actually WELDING but Brazing does have its application and after i have brazes copper pipe togeather it then is stronger than the sourrounding pipe because of the jointing method used spigot and socket join buddy not a stubid butt join!.

  • @Ikn0wJack where have I ever said brazing was useles on copper? its the only way I know how to join a copper pipe. I said its useless for Steel especially in structural welding, Cant solder or plumb copper worth a shit frankly, I dealt with steel no thinner then 1/2 and 3/4" every joint had to be welded front and back.. sometimes on our knees for 10 to 14 feet :-\ we realy dont have time to heat it. I was of a bit too, an arc can range from 3000 to 20000 degrees celcius..

  • @Me102288 "welding isnt done with a torch"...i dont rearly care about copper my origonal argument was your comment "welding isnt done with a torch"...and on that comment your wrong, you must see that!?. Because welding can be done with a torch it just depends on the situation and in your situation welding 16mm+ steel it still can be done with a torch BUT in the name of econiomics and production it is done by ARC because your right it would take several hours to lay one weld with a torch.

  • @Ikn0wJack well wickipedia wiki says the definition of welding essentially takes 2 pieces of metal and makes them 1 ... So I'll say yeah its possible with a hyrogen oxygen torch to get steel to liquify fast enough to weld it.

accetalene aint gunna do it, by the time you've melted one spot the other would be cold..

flames dont transfer heat nearly as wee as an arc

  • @Me102288 well my wickidicki says: Welding is a fabrication or sculptural process that joins materials, usually metals or thermoplastics, by causing coalescence. This is often done by melting the workpieces and adding a filler material to form a pool of molten material (the weld pool) that cools to become a strong joint, with pressure sometimes used in conjunction with heat, or by itself, to produce the weld.

  • @Me102288 This is in contrast with soldering and brazing, which involve melting a lower-melting-point material between the workpieces to form a bond between them, without melting the workpieces...welding IS done with oxyaccetlene kits...and if you dont know this you rearly dont know jack shit...but me i do know jack and im telling you welding can be done with an oxyaccetlene kit....Hense the filler rod or the WELDING ROD of an arc welder...once you have a pool of molten metal you have a weld!

  • @Ikn0wJack you said it right there.. "with soldering and brazing, which involve melting a lower-melting-point material"

that means metal that can be heated with the torch to turn it to a "puddle" of molten material. This is why you dont arc weld copper water pipe. It WILL melt it in 1 qaurter of a second flat. making it pretty useless for plumbers :-\

  • @Me102288 Not much of a fitter you are im a plumber...In oxy-fuel welding, a welding torch is used to weld metals. Welding metal results when two pieces are heated to a temperature that produces a shared pool of molten metal. The molten pool is generally supplied with additional metal called filler. Filler material depends upon the metals to be welded. Welding can and is done with a torch!.

  • @Ikn0wJack whoops, No penetration, your "weld" will snap like a toothpick.

so uh, you do light metal brazing? ya that will work, getting any penetration in steel requires' a 1000 degree arc.. might get away with Hydrogen Oxygen, but thats kinda cheating, they're talking about accetalene.. which cant get hot enough to melt steel fast enough to weld, BRAZING is melting metal onto metal, its not strong at all.. might as well go grab tyhe duct tape

  • @Ikn0wJack fitting has nothing to do with welding bud... lemme put it this way, if we brazed the train cars together it would take 20x the time, and will not be an acceptable weld..

Next time read before ya speak.... 35 TON Train carts....

how bout you show me you brazing skills by joining a couple 1 ton slabs together, 1.5 inch thick, a passed joint is 3/4 of an inch of penetration all the way through.. the joint is 32 feet long.. oh and it has to be done in a couple minutes..

  • @Me102288 Brazing is a metal-joining process whereby a filler metal is heated above melting point and distributed between two or more close-fitting parts by capillary action. The filler metal is brought slightly above its melting (liquidus) temperature while protected by a suitable atmosphere, usually a flux. It then flows over the base metal (known as wetting) and is then cooled to join the workpieces together. It is similar to soldering, except higher temperatures are used.

    Back to school mate

  • @Ikn0wJack lol here, stright from wikipedia..

Brazing has many advantages over other metal-joining techniques, such as welding. Since brazing does not melt the base metal of the joint

    (stop)

if it doesnt melt the base your making it stick together by adding metal to the SURFACE.

WELDING is melting 2 pieces of steel into one piece..

    I rest my case...

yes its fine for really thin stuff but its not permanently bonding them together.. aka WELDed

  • @Ikn0wJack sorry just had to reply, an arc is many many times hotter the a flame, minus hydrogen..you'll sit there for hours trying to heat it .... and it will never pass the sonagram...

  • @Me102288 you rearly dont know shit about welding do you an acetylene/oxygen flame burns at about 6,330 °F (3,500 °C). and if you cant get decent penetration with 3500 celuis then go home little boy!..also you have to parpare the parent material to get the desired TYPE of weld you want by beveling the edges for a correct root run then subsquent filler runs followed by the cap run depending on what situation you face and what...i oxy WELD steel tude often witha wall thickness of 15mm.

  • That's one way ... to use up a lot of propane.

Just rot it out. Get a deep bore bit ... bigger the better. drill a lot of holes in the top and every where else for that matter. soak it down really well. Add a high nitrogen fertilizer, cover with a nice organic mulch ... (the dark crap laying around the woods works) wet it again. Cover with a plastic sheet, put rocks around the edges .... and go away. Repeat the wetting and occasionally the fertilizer as required. Be gone before you know it.

  • easier still put a car jack under it and rip it out

  • In an urban residential area with homes...could create an undergroung smoldering root system fire that could last for days underground. Should be monitored, flushed with water after the project is completed. I wouldn't do it in a drout season.

  • two years later...

  • Should be called 'How to slowly singe a stump with a blowtorch. I thought you were going to dynamite the fucker.

  • @Porelax17 posted in July 2010. it is now Feb 2012 . is he done yet ? should get a follow-up video withing a few months ????

  • I usually just hire a couple of beavers.

  • he's actually trying to weld it back down to the ground here

  • @neufy123456 thank you for an early morning laugh sir.

  • .Has anyone ever heard of a stump grinder?

  • your gonna need a bigger tank of gas to burn thru a trunk that size!

  • ill tell you how u get a stump out PUT A BOMB UNDER IT A BLOW IT TO FUCKING SKY

  • Use thermit

  • This method is a great therapy for pyromaniac.

  • My dad drilled a hole in the top filled it with gunpowder, plugged it, made another hole for a fuse an lit it.. The stump was split and was easy removed. Some fill a cavity under the root with anfo, works as good if you arent afraid of where the pieces will land. Burning the root seems like a waste of fuel and takes forever, and as someone else said may cause root fire.

  • Thanks for posting this video. All the comments had me in tears I was laughing so much.

  • This is a great method

...until you start a root fire and burn down the woods.

  • if this was out in the country id drill a hole on a 45 under neath and into the main tap root plant 6 pounds of fg black powder under that bitch and then set it off blowing it into orbit.

  • I dont get it

  • ??? You held a blow torch to a stump for all of 24 seconds,

    WTF???

  • Proof Natural Selection isn't the whole equation I guess. This sort of stuff should have been bred out of us thousands of years ago.

Who the hell would dislike this video more to the point? ROTFL

  • That was STUPID!!!

But I'll tell you all what I did a few years back,... I got my stump on fire

and then used my air-compressor with a long hose and a 6 ft. 1/4 in.

extension on the end of it. Adding that extra air to the fire really helped

to speed up the amount of time it took to burn it out.

  • Congratulations, your reward is a stump

  • im guessing you'd have to use a plasma cutter at the least that way...

  • how many bottles of gas are needed? wouldnt it be cheaper to hire a stump grinder guy for 100 bucks? and hes done in 20 minutes?.....

  • use explosives its fun and easy

  • He heard of a thing called a chainsaw?

  • @mathsprofessional do you really think you can remove a stump with a chainsaw?

  • had to take the car gene

  • How to remove your day in one easy step

  • wow. that is easy, for hours and hours lol

  • try a stump grinder

  • ...and the end result was

  • lol@ imbossification for the double negative.... You must be an american.....It shows!

  • @dirtdiver5050 lol your a fool haha, double comment for the exact same FAIL point much?

  • @ImBossification dido! epic fail !!!

  • You know they have tools for this!?!

  • 20 ton digger would do it

  • you do relise you "failed to remove nothing"

  • @ImBossification you do realize what you said makes no sense at all. Failing to remove nothing is a double negative. Making it a positive. You removed something... LOL Dont hate on others. You cant even spell!

  • @dirtdiver5050 No im aussie, And was clearly trolling. Think hard bruda, What game is "You failed to target nothing" from? and the comment might make some sense to you :) dont hate on others till you have a clue what they are talking about.

  • Next time try TNT, should be just as classy

  • Wait 'till your carbon tax bill comes in the mail.

  • the stump wasn't removed, peado.

  • Nice vid. Burning out a stump is an easy way to remove it. However, if you cut two or more grooves across it's diameter several inches deep you could burn it out without the torch using the Swedish Torch method.

  • Thank you for the video. Finally someone with other skills than pressing a gas pedal.

  • The easiest way to remove a stump is with a..... torch..?

  • Why not just put in 2 kg of fertilizer and aluminium powder under this stump and a detonator?

  • now.. throw some AP underneat...

  • I think it would of been easier to wait for it to rot or cut it with an axe.

  • fail

  • I kept on waiting for it to blow up XD

  • i actually tried this a few years ago, we burned a big soggy stump for 3 days then ended up renting a stump grinder..

  • i would use drx about half a pound should do it but stand well back

  • or blow it with 8'' salutes:D

  • once you get the thing started you hit is with 100 percent oxygen.

  • The easy why[sic] to remove a stump is to sit there all day burning 30 pounds of propane?

  • Where the fuck is the explosion XD

  • you accomplished nothing

  • Trying to get me arrested!!!! No thanks

  • A mini trackhoe can dig that out in about 15 minutes.

  • Just buy some Green Light stump remover. Bore holes in it. Put in GL then water. Let set for a week or so. Then pour on some kerosene or diesel and light er up. It'll burn right down into the ground. It's just KNO3 in a small pourable grain size. Takes water good and soaks in well. Nitrates the wood pretty good.

  • And the Oscar for most boring video goes to...

  • Stumpgrinder...

  • Yeah, probably only use about a hundred bucks worth of fuel gas and oxygen to burn that stump out. Just build a damn fire on top of it. Sheesh.....

  • DINOMITE is the true easyest way to remove a stump but apparently not in your case.

  • the EASIEST way to do it is to blow it out with AMFO.

  • Comment removed

  • Looks like a waste of gas to me. Just pour used motor oil on the stumps let it soak in good then burn them every once in a while when you can get some stick and yard debris piled around them.

  • @flyinasscritter said "Just pour used motor oil on the stumps let it soak in good [...]"

Because dumping used motor oil in the soil is the right thing to do. You give redneck a bad name. Fuck off.

  • easy ? :D

  • I don't trust anyone who has misspelled Easy twice in a matter of seconds.

  • @Apollomasque Do you speak any other language??? Because "easy" doesn't need a capital letter.

  • @Apollomasque why not? what has that got to do with trust?

  • @Apollomasque he also put why instead of "way" in the description
