Clearlly the people in charge of this production think that Wilde's words are not funny and entertaining on their own but must be augmented with overacting and physical comedy. Atrocious!

We're reading the book in literature classes at the moment, and I love it! =D So funny and such a great story...we're also playing some scenes, and me and a friend, we're doing Cecily and Gwendolen at the tea party...so much fun!^^

I agree, though at least Algernon is more of a character part than Jack, and their Jack is practically bouncing off the walls! A bit outlandish and unsupported of an interpretation of the character, methinks. :S

Yes, Algernon did become a bit of a Basil Fawlty here, still I think they have all done quite very well.
