  • :30 thats my baby <3

  • Actually Leo fender founded 3 guitar companies and those would be Fender (of course), G&L (the L stands for Leo) and Musicman, he claims that G&L was his best company

  • Musicman to fender is like fender to squire hahaha!

  • Sterling by music man

    love the new ax40

  • I'm afraid that im going to spend the money on one of these basses and them basically being the Squire of music man.

  • i'm thinking of buying the SILO20 as a starter guitar what do you guys think?

  • So is this like a cheaper line of music mans liek squier or epiphone?

  • Yeah more or less, except in australia they still cost over $1000, which is fucked.

OLP is more like the cheaper line of musicmans, except they are apparntly horrid.

  • OLP lost their licence to produce EBMM-copies, 'coz good ol' Captain wasn't satisfied with the quality of the OLP products. So EBMM started to build their own "low priced" versions, labeled as "Sterling By MusicMan", which is a fucking dumb name. But the instruments are great.

  • OLP is to MM as squier is to Fender

  • yeah pretty much

  • that JP50 looks great, but is it as smooth as the real one. I love music man guitars, but there is no way I could afford a real one. Its tempting me.

  • Ibanez is not what it used to be. Every Ibanez I have picked up in the music stores has sucked. If I were going to buy an Ibanez I'd be on ebay looking for a used RG series from the 90's. I have the AX-40 ordered and it will be here Tuesday.

  • i just ordered the ax40 and it should ship soon... any comments on the generic quality, etc.

  • plz make a video

  • What do you think of it? I've been thinking of getting the AX40 since I don't have the money to be a real music man.

  • The AX40 is 10 times better than any wolfgang i have ever owned.

  • yeah bro.

I grew up in a music shop (my dad works in one)

and the JP50 is one of the best guitars I have ever played in my opinion.

Played in through a duel rectifier and the guitar tech Smitty was all like "DAMN! WE GOTTA LIL PETRUCCI!"

  • Can't wait for the Sterling BONGO!!!!

  • Is sterling really going to come out with a Bongo!? Please let me know.

  • So (so so so so so so so so ( x 1000) so so ) unfortunatelly, i'm afraid they won't... For god's sake it would be wicked sick and i'll rush to the usa to order mine, if they would :(

  • I'm torn between two guitars.. the sterling john petrucci model or an ibanez rg in the same price range as the jp50. Any thoughts?

  • well, i know that the rg are great guitar , i got a 450$ 7 string rg and its pretty good. if you really want to buy one of those sterling, i suggest you to try it well before.

btw the ax 40 is tempting me...

  • yeah me too..the AX40..i love the Axis..

i tried the music man Axis at guitar center and I didin't like the fealing of the neck..i'm already used to play wizard necks by ibanez..but at the price of the AX40 I could push myself..but still..my main guitars will always be wizard neck-ed

  • I would get the RG..by now, they have more color/bridge/pickups options than Sterling..unless you want to wait until they make more models, you can save more money and choose one of the MusicMan JPs..

but like bladzerok said down there..try both and see wich one fits your musical/physical needs...

  • ray 34 in black..

however i would prefur a maple neck..

    ah well..

    beggars cant be choosy..

  • when do these hit the shops in the UK?!?!? i want a black SB14 bass soooo bad!

  • Sterling isn't like squire is it?

  • not IMO.the old OLP line would be more like squier if you ask me.these sterlings cost 5-$600..and i've never seen a squier cost that much.OLP's were more like $2-300.

  • Thank Goodness!

My teacher paid the deposit for a sterling for my birthday Present (were tight!) He thought it would suit me and my style (i'm a skinny Boy)

  • It's more like the made in Mexico Fenders.

  • I got a serious case of GAS when i saw the Ray35 in Natural. I've gotta get one too!

  • hell ya to the black stingray 34. for a high schooler with little cash, this some great news.

  • 0:26 Dracula´s guitar

  • There is an eBay brand called sterling lol.

  • Hopefully they'll make something similar to what the OLP MM5 baritone was like..that would be sweet.

A cheap Sterling with a maple fretboard?

    Two please.

  • The CAR SB14 is so mine!

  • Omg, awesome.

I'm a musicman fan but cant afford one. :(

Hopefully I'll be able to afford a Ray 34 or SB 14. =D

  • I'm a fan of EB/MM quality and their Bongo line, but it seems to be a bad idea to start splitting the name between a great bass and a new line of S.U.B.-esque instruments.

  • aren't the subs and this new range both made in the same factory as their normal range ? I know the subs were..don't see why their quality would be any different

  • I think these new ones will be made in Asia. According to what I read, it is more "SUB" line quality which was pretty good, rather than the "OLP" line which was kind of cheap. Guess we'll just have to play a few when they hit the stores. :)

  • Sweeeet!!!

  • ahhh, now i see why your name is "tonedeath", you don't like good instruments then?

Personally i can't wait, that SB14 looks really nice

  • Ah, what do we have here? A Fender employee?
