@MikleShnikle They are really outside the box, well the first three albums were at any rate. The latest album wasn't as progressive musically, but the first three contained many harmonic movements I've never heard before. Meshuggah is also pretty outside if you want another metal example.

The BIG difference is that that the 350 is made in Indonesia with cheaper materials, while the 550 is Japanese made with some INCREDIBLE hardware. The RG350's are still rad though. I used to have one, and I loved it, but the 550 is just on a whole other level.

@tasfa10 those older 550s and 570s were made in japan and have the block neck joint. The newer 350s arent bad but not as good imo, the all access neck joint is awesome though, and the edge 3 tremolo can be replaced with an original floyd rose without modifying the guitar.
