You can have your own SOAR just by buying aftermarket parts! Despite a standard AR15 based rifle, you'll need a compensator (to lower recoil), heavy bolt (to lower cycle rate), tighter gas tube (to keep pressure well regulated with the heavy bolt), and three round burst trigger group. No need to import it from Asia, just ask a gunsmith to build a custom weapon for you!
They showed an HK416 when they were talking about fire rate and barrel heat... pffft the 416 has a fire rate of 650 and the barrel has a service life that lasts up to 20 000 rounds

stopping power is such a bad way to judge a gun. any gun be it a pistol hits you from x yards can put you out of action with one shot, even being wounded. Guns focus more on accuracy and recoil than stopping power.
to be very specific the rifle isnt made in the philippines. the only thing made by a filipino in the whole system is the patented slideable-independent sear disconnector design by Ferdinand Sy from Cebu, which lowers the cyclic rate of the firearm resulting into a much lower rate of fire and therefore gives the rifle less muzzle climb.hehehehe

use a HK416 it doesnt overheat as fast as other weapons.in tests theyve fired 10 mags on full auto and the bolt was as cold as it was before you started firing

@13thmistral You ever shot a 10" Mk 18 type sub-carbine on full auto? There is a lot more felt recoil with the much shorter gas system. Not to mention that even with the legacy 20" weapons and their rifle length gas systems, the average soldier wasn't particularly accurate with full auto. Even on semi-auto there have been attempts made to lessen felt recoil, that's the part of the point behind the mid-length gas systems you see proliferating these days, the other being reliability.
@13thmistral Norway is having all kinds of problems with their 416s. The G36 has many of the same issues. They're not that reliable, certainly not as reliable as the older roller-delayed blowback guns. The HK 416 is too heavy, it requires special optic mounts because it's upper receiver is taller than standard (LWRC and Ferfrans rifles don't have this problem) and it cycles WAY too fast, especially with a suppressor.
Great rifle! But the strongest rifle in Asia is still the SAR-21

use a HK416 it doesnt overheat as fast as other weapons.in tests theyve fired 10 mags on full auto and the bolt was as cold as it was before you started firing

@copypacercopypacer theyve fire a beta c 100 round mag in full aito and was still as cold as it was before theve put it in sand,mud,water and it didnt jam its very good units from USSOCOM like Green Beretes use JSOC units like Delta Force,DEVGRU use them,South Korean Naval Special Warfare command,German KSK,and Norway has made it there standard issue rifle

@texasrangersr1 the ferfrans soar have been tested in jungle terrain and others such as the dessert and the snow, it works perfectly. It is currently issued to the afp and the saf and some special operation groups...it is also used by the swatt in the usa

@copypacercopypacer yes but you see many of the major units are using HK416 DEVGRU used it in there operation to kill bin Laden so the 416 now has even more fame for killing the d bag and US and other countrys extensivley test them and compare them to their current rifles plus its German they make really good guns like the G36,Mp5,UMP series,MP7 and other weapons that have become Special Forces favorites

@13thmistral You ever shot a 10" Mk 18 type sub-carbine on full auto? There is a lot more felt recoil with the much shorter gas system. Not to mention that even with the legacy 20" weapons and their rifle length gas systems, the average soldier wasn't particularly accurate with full auto. Even on semi-auto there have been attempts made to lessen felt recoil, that's the part of the point behind the mid-length gas systems you see proliferating these days, the other being reliability.

@13thmistral Norway is having all kinds of problems with their 416s. The G36 has many of the same issues. They're not that reliable, certainly not as reliable as the older roller-delayed blowback guns. The HK 416 is too heavy, it requires special optic mounts because it's upper receiver is taller than standard (LWRC and Ferfrans rifles don't have this problem) and it cycles WAY too fast, especially with a suppressor.
