  • nice nice :)

  • How I admire John standing on that stage. He dont look at the crowd, just him and his guitar expressing so much feelings. Listen to that sound! WOW!

  • john and josh together is a beautiful thing

  • Chad looks a little bit like Kadafhi xD

  • that bass line in the beginning is disgusting

  • wow that was fucking beautiful, the chords at the end were amazing. I LOVE YOU JOHN

  • Is this John's last jam?

  • @yoshijoke I believe it is. They parted ways after this concert.

  • @yoshijoke no. SEARCH FOR 'FRUSICIAN' AND HE HAD VIDEOS OF JOHN'S LAST CONCERT.

  • This jam is awesome... Chad, Flea, Josh and John they play great jams... :D I love those weird sounds

  • omg just think how awesome it would if both john and josh would be in band

  • will ferrel on the drumbs go on lad

  • Frusciante is such a genius

  • JOsh and John!

  • 3:40 Is the most beautiful thing i've ever heard in my life...

  • This isn't the last show John played with RHCP.

  • @RHCPFansite Well the next day they played at the same festival so it's last John televised show xD

  • John's sounds are a continuos trip in man's mind

  • JOHN JOHN JOHN JOHN JOHN !!! <3 !!!!

  • i like this. its like john passing over the baton to josh

  • I hear influence of John's and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez's friendship :)

  • You guys need to stop arguing. Music is subjective and very personal. Rap takes no musical talent as far as music theory goes, yet it sells like crazy. Know why? Because people vibe with it. If you feel Flea isnt a theoritcally intricate bassist, than so be it. Why would you then feel the need to diss anyone who disagrees? Just let your opinions be, no need to use them as weapons and means of seperation. Lots of people vibe with RHCP, if you dont, than that's fine. No need to fight over it.

  • CHADDD!

  • Better bass players than flea that is sooooo easy, john paul jones, cliff burton, jack bruce, rex brown, john entwhistle. Get over it mate this band are plain ordinary, backed heavily by a major record label and clever marketing. John had seen sense and left, i really dont blame him, their sell by date is at least 7 years out of date. This performance was the straw that broke the camels back for me AWFUL. Go suck on your mothers in bred penis u pussy!

  • @ryan25n

You're stupid. How the fuck can you look at this jam or any other jams they played during that tour and say "the're playing ordinairy" They're one of the greatest rockbands, if you don't like them, so be it, that's you oppinion - but claiming they are out of date and ordinary is just stupid.

  • @nzg01b23 i just did didnt i????

  • @ryan25n You are a dick

  • this is johns last show and if they dont know it he probalbly does hence the bittersweetness of the final jam

  • wow, Josh is amazing

love the way how they all feel the music

  • wow, Josh is amazing

  • for the asshole who's saying RHCP are done , check out their show at La Cigale ( France , 06 ) and Alcatraz ( Milan , 06 ). metallica , RATM or the other shit that you like can suck the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Now unfortunately John is gone , don't think they will be as good as they were , but no band can rock as they did with John Frusciante

  • 0:51 ... holy f'*ck .. chad is a beast!

  • why go see the red hot chili peppers LiVE in concert if you don't like what the red hot chili peppers do LiVE in concert?..i LOVE the red hot chili peppers.

  • one of yhe worst gigs i have ever had the misfortune of going to. Started the gig with a jam and fuckin ended it with a JAM. We should of gotten refunds from this gig utter shite.

  • @ryan25n What are you saying? Do you know anything about music?

How can you not like this? You wanna hear songs? Listen to the album! you go see a band to hear live music which is always changing and should never be the same as the album. Read books, it'll help you in life.

  • @Dohlendo to headline a festival as prestigious as reading and leeds you need to make an effort these guys showed up for the paycheck quite obviously! I mean watch the video man they are clearly filling in the time. Rhcp could learn a thing or two from bands like metallica, ratm, queens of the stoneage who have played this festival and fuckin kill it everytime they play rhcp are done now

  • @ryan25n What are you saying? The chilis played music... isnt that the reason you go to a show anyway? You obviously don't understand what they are doing... it doesnt matter if its a prestigious show or not, they are playing music with all that they are. they are making up the music as they go, thats free flowing energy. Honestly i'd much rather see them improvize for the duration of the concert. they played scar tissue and dont forget me, what else do you want?

  • @Dohlendo god i get annoyed keep listening to this masterbation had to mute it lol.

What i would of liked is nine inch nails to headline instead of this shite. Watch the videos of them playing this festival. That is what i call making an EFFORT. They were second on the bill on the sunday only played for roughly an hour would of like to of seen 2 hours. NIN killed it best band of the weekend doubt u would understand as you are defending this show of self appreciation yuck

    pest can suck my balls

  • @ryan25n dude.. just get fucked

  • @MrSharpenis lmfao

  • @ryan25n

Every band has their off shows man. I don't think you should judge the Peppers just off of this. Go watch the bootleg from the Stockholm 06 show. They're definitely on point there.

Oh and Love for music is always the most important thing, regardless of where you're playing. Whether you're playing around a campfire for 5 friends or at a Festival, what makes a musician good is their communication with and expression through music. That's my opinion anyway. Not what shows they headline.

  • @ryan25n are u serious? u think theyre just filling in the time? serious? if anything the red hot chili peppers are the only people around that even give a shit about music...they do it because they love it...not for the money, f*ck the money, i doubt it that nine inch nales cares about music theyre just in it for the fame...u know nothing, next tiime you should go study just a little bit before saying this piece of crap

  • @jorgenforgen ok if rhcp care so much for the music where is anthony kiedis here? For the fuckin oncore headlining reading festival. One word springs to mind paycheck!!!! Lets finish the set with a pointless wanking session so we make it to the end of our contracted time. You do realise they were paid 2 mill for the gig? Well that was money well spent! fuckin cunts

u say nine inch nails are in it for the fame???? You do realise they have quit touring tit!!

oh sure trent cares about the fame u tit

  • @ryan25n tit? stay in the uk... fuckin tit.. what the hell is wrong with you people? stay on your island and choke on some tea

  • @tysittinonacloud i like tea thanks

  • @tysittinonacloud dude you need to listen to some more music is the only band u listen to is the rhcp? judging by your page u are a weird obsessed fan in time u will realise this band blows apart from the guitarist who has seen sense and left

  • @ryan25n Not true, Flea is phenominal on bass and Chad is awesome on drums, with Ant singing they are perfect together and jam live like no other band, your mother on the other hand, needs to learn NOT to scrape her teeth on my shaft as she tried to learn the deep throat, eat a dick son.

  • @smethious oh nooooo please dont insult my mother!!!. Dude seriously yer cannot insult somebody you have never met before. It is really quite sad. Were you responsible for george bush getting into power? I think so, with idiots like you voting no wonder. ahh

ps please drink more tea thanks .

oh and make one for pest aswell

  • @ryan25n penis,Flea is a bass playing phenom.. you tell me who comes close to his prowess.... Chad is an awesome drummer proof is in the pudding...Anthony style os singing while not the strongest, or octavely veratile. goes great with these 3 ppl... By the way, did you get ur mum deep throating better?? Bush was one of the worst US persidents ever just so u know

  • @smethious You're all idiots with your so-called trash talking. We all have different tastes -- if you don't like it, don't listen and no need to comment stupidly. After all, everything on here is someone's opinion, which is neither right nor wrong. Now grow up and go on your merry, little way.

  • @ryan25n Ok, seriously, I couldn't care less that you don't like this, but saying them three bands is insulting, especially Metallica! they are the most money orientated band out there. come on seriously.

  • @johnsfan1 yer right on metallica about the money but you have to admit they put on one hell of a gig unlike pest and his crew

  • @ryan25n I haven't seen them live but I'm sure they do. what i love about seeing bands live is improvisation. So long jams like this are great to me, i have no interest in watching the same thing that was done on the cd. Buuut; I'm glad you like NIN, they are great!

  • if this is his last performance with the Peppers, it's fitting he went out the way he came in back in '88, with a John/Flea/Chad jam session

  • as much as i love this and have watched this very video probably 10 times i still cant help but missing some good old school funk jams

  • This is the last time of John playing live with the chili peppers :(

  • @FischKopfD Well.. so he made huge farewell here.

  • this is such a soothing thing to listen to...

  • this is such a trip..i just wish it werent over..

  • man this is Froosh's last jam with the chilis isn't it????

His style has changed SOOOOOOOO much that he just couldn't be in the band anymore. He's playing totally his own style, completely unattached from everything else.

It sounds very Omar Rodrigez-Lopez -esque.

  • @Mazun This was the second to last performance. And I don't think that's true at all. John quit because he needs to make music. Being in the band is great but it slows down the process and takes away some of his creative effort among others. John wants to stay focused on his solo work. Plus touring is time consuming and hard on everyone after a while.

  • @Mazun I'd say that omar rodriguez sounds very john frusciante-esque...

To be honest, you are prolly mis judging Johns playing for Omars. John plays on pretty much everything omar makes

  • @Dohlendo I think they have a pretty equal impact on each other!!

  • On 3.11 he plays the exact same thing as on B-side of Lyon 6.6.6 :)

  • moog murf then he adds a wah

  • does anyone know the effect john uses at 0:02

  • slicer

  • Slicer

    Nice.

  • This was the last RHCP show before they went on hiatus, but they recently got back together! Unfortunately it's their last show with John ... there's no way of knowing that from watching this video. When John walks off at 5:38 the expression on his face is something like "fuck, I can't believe the stadium arcadium tour is over, I definitely can't wait to record a new album and go on tour again!"

  • Sorry to burst your bubble, but this was their 2nd to last show.

Leeds fest was the last show of the Stadium Arcadium tour, and John's last show with RHCP.

  • haha okay that's good to know, do you know if RHCP's performance at Leeds fest is on youtube?

  • There was no professional video like this, but there are some amateur clips. Search "RHCP Leeds" or something like that.

There's one video where right before they start their intro jam, John announces that it's the band's last show, and gives thanks to supporters.

  • @teenager17 at 5:38, john looks like bored...

  • its not. this is the Reading show, so he has one more left to go. They never put the Leeds shows on TV

  • I read it was the very last RHCP live performance, if it is right we are ni front of the last minutes of the band playing together (without Anthony), before John's departure !

I hope it is not the end...

  • john has left i heard? am i right? because i think josh klinghoff has replaced him god damm why????

  • you can tell both flea and john have recorded with omar rodriguez-lopez! cool jam

  • Fru is the man! If only I could play like him... if only!

  • WOW what a way to end the tour

  • the ending is the best thing i've ever heard.

    04:42 - 05:32

  • that was the most amazing thing i have EVER SEEN!

  • i gotta say, they still make great music, hopefully it shouldnt be too long till another album

  • yep there in the studio in september!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anthony told rolling stone

  • Lol dont get your hopes up

  • Actually it's good reason to get your hopes up. Chad has said they've re entered the studio and there's a video on youtube in which Flea says they're in a room making music again. Search "Flea and Tree" and you should get an interview. That's 3 of them that have said the same thing.

  • rhcp please never die

  • thats going to suck when it does. =[

  • i was there!, i cant remember much about it, but seeing my favourite band and guitarist play, especially this ending was one of the most euphoric moments i have ever witnessed,

  • perfect way to end the tour

  • 2:17 anyone know what kind of shoes those are? haha

  • 3:26 The amount of pedals he is using is amazing

  • seriously, a shit load of moogs too.

  • This is definately one of the more deliciously unorthodox John Frusciante's solos ive seen. I love it, this is awesome. I need to see these guys live.

Who is that playing with them at 2:29? He really contributed to the psychadelia of this song.

  • Josh Klinghoffer

  • frusciante is the hendrix of our generation

  • At least the closest so far!

  • @benrox26 he's hendrix evolution.

  • @benrox26

I'd love to have the guts to say to people : Hendrix was Frusciante of past generations , without them aiming to kill me :D

  • @benrox26 youread my mind man :)

  • 0:50 - 0:54 <-- nice beat

  • you know how people say chad looks like will farrell. i think he also looks like david hasslehoff. lol

  • that why I love the Rhcp, they go anywhere they want to go in music!

  • chad at 1.05 :D

  • I hope there next albums has some of this stuff .. reminds me of pink floyd's echoes.. LOVE IT!!

  • look into Frusciantes solo stuff if you haven't already.

all of his albums have electronica infulenced music like this.

  • curtains certainly doesn't.

his solo work is fascinating though. one of the few people doing what he wants with music and not what the industry wants him to do.

    Fru is alegend

  • i love that part at 4:05-4:12

    sounds so cool

  • the second part does even more feel like ataxia or sth very apart of mainstream.

like his fast strumming at the end. chad really does enrich this with simlpe drumming.

flea's bassline is very cool, too.

josh is kinda countering johns style...but this isn't meant in an negative way...i'm really looking forward for outros to come...also the suff of troubadour whih seemed really to be cool...

  • Shoes are great, Flea way to go.....0:31

  • it`s magic!

  • chad shows he's genius right here.

  • how good is flea

  • john frusciante no deja de sorprenderme

    i love you john!!

  • you can tell RHCP and the Mars Volta are buddies. haha

  • Agreed! Very similar sound coming from this jam.

  • look at chad's face closely starting at 0:50

  • lol at :30 you gotta love flea's shoes ^_^

  • chad is amtazing at 0:54

  • QUIEN ES EL OTRO TIPO

  • josh klinghoffer

  • who's the other guy?

  • josh klinghoffer

  • who's the other guy?

  • My guess is john frusciantes friend josh klinghoffer, who he did some solo albums with...although that is just a guess

  • i like how they always try their best to make their lives more interesting than their previous ones. i wish more bands would try as hard as this guys

  • I read the jam is in A minor, but there must be more to it harmonies... flea seems to be plaing some G# to A riff which would make it A harmonic minor or am i wrong? Cus that part of the jam definately isn't sounding like a normal typical chili peppers jam key...

  • Well sort of, because you can have a specific number of same tones that are in two keys which can make it confusing because the guy can be switching keys! Overall to make it simple you can just say they are playing in a semitone scale which bends the rules of western music, since in western music a tone is only divided into 1/2 but in a semitone scale you can divide a tone into x/100. A tone being considered a note like A.

  • Could you explain this to me in more depth please, maybe send me a message. I would greatly appreciate it. I understand everything you said, yet a guitar has frets and therefore, the person playing has no choice but to play using the western scale. I understood the part about the relative key and modes though. But what you said is very interesting to me.

  • you can play any scale not just the western

  • Which part of the jam are you wondering about? I hear no G# in this jam, but I during the first part of the jam on the other video, towards the end, he began using a phrygian scale, that is, incorporating a Bb into A minor.

  • how do you know all that:O

  • Years of practice.

  • I dont know how people can say that they we're bad at Leeds/Reading. They we're amazing!!!

    JOHN IS GOD!

  • Chad is crazy!

  • Very sad they won't live forever... They truly are something especially john. They are more than creative

  • every sentence is damn correct!

  • right im sorry for affending anyone but i was at this show the whole weekend and LOADS of people thought they where shit because the lead singer looked like he just couldnt be arsed. i was looking 4ward to these n it just didnt do anything for me.

  • compared to other stuff its pretty bad I'd say

most of the chords did not come together well

but other then that there D Best BAND in the UNIVERSE.... i there say =D

  • Mate tell me how the fuck these chords didn't come together.

  • it just wasn't as good as other jams they've done.. the melodies in there other performances are truly amazing.

  • Fair I think I know what you mean now.

I liked the younger peppers anyway coz they were full of more energy back then and there not going in any intresting areas now to me.

  • yeah I think your partially right

for me Slane Castle/Hyde Park is the pinnacle of there career....

Stadium Arcadium is great but In my opinion is much more mellow.. compared to their early albums

  • magic :'(

  • this is so chill man...

    its amazing

  • RHCP jams are the best thing about live performances.

  • Right. Are there any other bands which are so good in jamming? I think no...

  • check out mars volta with omar rodriguez-lopez, which is by the way a good friend of john. their concerts are nothing else than a huge jam session.

  • is Frusc playing some performance #8 stuff here?

  • So what? It's not as if Keidis is the only part of the band. The other guys are more talented than him anyway.

  • what kind of chords is john playing at 5:00min...

    i love it...i'm melting!!

    has anyone an idea??

  • So wat if kedis didnt cum bak on

its not as if they all fucked off

u still get to listen 2 the beauty

    of this

  • trop beau le jam... peut-être un peu long.

Mais le jam entre D'ont forget me et Californication au Parc des Princes cet été était aussi long je crois...

  • oh my GOD!!!!!! inimitable!!!!!

  • MAGIC!

  • kiedis never comes back after give it away.

  • Well... If you say it like that, I have to voice opposition!

What about Slane Castle? Off the map?

  • whos the guy with the white guitar?

  • thats josh klinghoffer, he's on a lot of frusciante's solo projects.

  • nice jam in Am

  • Pretty much all their end jams are in A minor.

  • All their jams are in the same key as the song they played before the jam.

  • beautiful, we know that john is god but i heard some of the Lyon 666 stuff towrds the end it was just better

  • whats lyon 666?

  • a bside to tell me baby or snow i think. I have it, and it's an encore outro recorded on June 6th 2006

  • it's john fret wanking it's seriously impressive if you haven't heard it

  • I think ita a jam or song they did at Lyon 6-6-06 and its on the "Tell me baby" ep
