Remember this - was there. I don't think this was Aphex Twin but a stand in DJ. I guess he couldn't get there because of the weather. It was really disappointing. To get a feel for what it should of been like you can look the clips from this years dour festival.
IT WASN'T APHEX TWIN, i worked at the event, and they didn't show up, it was a dj playing an aphex style set, thats why they never cam out on stage, and it never quite seemed to pick up.... sorry to disappoint, i was vexed

Oh no no my dear, au contriaire (or something like that) I thought the whole set was wicked musically, it was like a journey from back in the day thru to modern times. A lot of music set miss direction, DJs just play tunes of the weeks to keep the sheeps happy, Aphex twin, isn't so much a shepherd. I had a great time, if I had room to dance I would have been raving my head off :)
perhaps i SHOULD have stayed til the end,given your reports of contemporary noise - as it was i really didn't buy mr james' musical odyssey and craved crunching head nips throughout.Truth be told the crowd around me were restless for a surge that never surged, the sound was weak and as an event it smacked of Emperors new pants. 'turn it up' indeed. glad for you that you liked it tho - and it wont stop me checking him out again should the opportunity present
