Aww...Pikes Peak, let me count the times, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1989, 1997, 1999 twice, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2010. It was quite a drive, every time. Beautiful.

I remember my Uncle taking us there in the early 1970's, there was only enough room for one car so you had to honk your horn around each bend, I remember getting a bear in a crate at the gift shop.

I first went to Pikes Peak in July 1987. It was such an amazing sight at the summit. On our way back down, it started to snow (still above the tree line). When we got back to Manitou Springs, it was a deluge!
