Actually the DKs were amazing live, a good deal of the time that I saw them. This however is a pretty bad performance of this song - but as a long time player in hardcore and punk bands as a drummer I can tell you sometimes the frequent lack of pro level sound can be your enemy - poor monitors or stage layout or bad engineers etc can mean the band cannot hear one another. In this case I have to put the blame on Peligro, who I think was sometimes the weak link. His count and tempo are off, period

People at my old job were either #1. Younger than me or #2, in thier mid 30's trying to act like they were 20. Basically it meant that I had to put up with Hip Hop all day long. One day I had a customer come up to me and complain about the music and could'nt believe that the owner was allowing it to be played. Jello is a brilliant social commentator and the DK's early works reflect mostly satire on the man. Later works were toned down and many even critical of the punks themselves because of the misinterpretations. Jello is a very smart man and a true artist and asset to all of society - like him or not.

I saw the DKs in San Antonio, Texas in August 1984. Jello had a broken leg and there was a near riot. Quite an experience for a 14-year-old.
