  • Best game created. SWTOR is terrible compared to it.

  • @boofieman It's a completely different genre and for the couple of hours that I played it I had a blast.

  • best game ever

  • This was one of the few RPG games out there where you wanna do every single side mission...it's just that good.

  • @astijus5 I'm fuming. I loved this game and they turned into a piece of shit MMO. If I was not a nerd--and was willing to spend $800 on a gaming computer--I still wouldn't give TOR a try; and a monthly fee? Please. F that. If they want my money they better make a single player sequel to Knights of the Old Republic II.

  • I loooooooooved this game! LONG LIVE REVAN!

  • I enjoy your honesty :)

  • Im wondering how you feel about The Old Republic. Im sure you will wait for the game to come out, I know you are based on console but im sure you have heard the hype. The reason im asking is because i agree with you on most of your videos. eg the prototype review haha. I myself am a huge star wars fan and loved KOTOR and KOTOR 2. Im getting excited for The Old Republic what are your thoughts towards it im interested to find out.

  • @astijus5 I am still

  • Why do I agree with you so much? I mean you really hit the bullseye. Nice review!! Keep doin' reviews man!

  • i have beat this game at least 22 times, same with the second one

  • great review dude

  • Mannan is my favorite world, when i was a noob i was like "HOW THE FUCK DO I GET PAST THESE SHARKS"

  • kotor looks better than kotor 2

  • 48 game of the year awards? Really? I didn't know that.. I like KOTOR 2, and KOTOR 1. I beat KOTOR 1, 3 times. Dark, Dark, and light.

I'm netural, I like both the endings.. The gameplay is absolute yeah. The character profiles is what makes it great.

  • good video

  • morrowind had great water if i recall correctly :P also the music was some of the best i've ever heard :;)

  • I love kotor for the story although I'm not a fan of this form of final fantasy fight style I still love the game

  • This is the best game ever made. Best RPG at least, my favorite game of all time.

  • We NEED a kotor 3! not just jump 300 years ahead in time with SW the old republic. I want to play as Revan again.

  • @tylerwrodgers If there was a KOTOR 3 it would be done in a Mass Effect style with 1/100th of the roleplaying and 100 times the action - to keep the console gamers of today happy!!!

  • that's very ignorant.

  • @gamingeagle19 Just look at the change from Baldur's Gate and Planescape Torment to Mass Effect. You telling me ME is just as deep? Just as sandbox? Just as Open World? Just as many stats and attributes to play with? A Game world that allows you to be the avatar you wan to be?

    Exactly.

  • so you are saying ME is just explosions and more explosions with practically no RPG elements?

    Fail.

  • @gamingeagle19 It's a deep conversation system (Adventure) and a corridor action system combined and then called an 'action-RPG' when it is obviously an action-adventure.

Even Dragon Age is not a full on RPG and yet compare that with ME and tell me ME is as deep an RPG as that game!

    So you fail big time.

  • Dragon's Age is a full RPG so when you said it wasn't you failed. I know what an RPG is. You don't. I haven't played Baldurs Gate but I know it had the same combat system as KOTOR and D&D and it had all the other RPG elements that Mass Effect has as well.

    -Character customization

    -Looting

    -inventory management

    -character development

    -choices(usually moral)

    etc.

Mass Effect IS an RPG. Don't kid yourself. They just combined it with shooter elements. Leave now while you have dignity left

  • and to call Mass Effect is just action is fail by itself. The most common complaint is that it WASN'T fast paced. It was more story than gameplay like guess what...AN RPG!!

  • @gamingeagle19 not fail tis the truth bioware sold their souls to "relate" with the antisocial thugs and drunks on Xbox Live

  • @DoctorEviloply okay pal.

  • Comment removed

  • @HardWarUK The Old Republic Online. Look it up.

  • @tylerwrodgers

That's exactly what I've been saying to people. All I want is to continue and/or conclude the Revan saga...while playing AS Revan. I don't want to jump ahead 300 years and then HEAR about what happened to Revan. And I want my original group to come back for god sake. I loved all those characters soooo much.

  • @yarealpoof I know! To be honest I was even disappointed with kotor2. I could care less about the exile. For me, during the entire game I was only really interested in the characters from kotor1. They already had to tell the back story of Revan in that game and now without a doubt they'll do the same with SW the old republic. It's almost like they're trying to ruin the saga of Revan!

  • @tylerwrodgers

Yeah I know what you mean man. I keep running into exile lovers who all like her because she's sooooo much more powerful than revan -_- That's bull its just that the leveling system makes her seem that way. Kotor 1 was such a well developed game, and to this day I have never enjoyed a game, or its characters, more than I did when I was playing the original game. We desperately need a new kotor esp now that they have tech to make games look as good as ME.

  • I love Kotor, it's absolutely my favorite game of ALL time...saying you don't like kotor is like saying you don't like pizza...it just can't honestly said.

I could talk for DAYS about how good this little wonder

  • hewll yeah man, you dont even realise the graphics ect. story' draws you in waaay to much. wich theyd re release kotor 1 but update graphics and put in cuple extras that would be MAD

  • I must agree with you, this is one of the most amazing games I have ever played. I remember back in the day when I got my xbox, I am a diehard starwars fan.

  • This game was almost perfect, it's just that the blasters are pretty much useless, it's very hard to shoot from relatively long distances, and the fact that you can't aim. There also weren't many bad-ass weapons besides the lightsaber, but other than that, perfect.

  • @MountDoomPictures

If I could suggest a change it would be that the other weapons were slightly stronger or useful. When you get the lightsaber your pretty much stuck with it. Which eventually means you're going to end up always having Jedi in your party.

  • 4:35. Not trying to upset you or anything but I would like to make one small correction, the sith werent actually trying to kill Bastila, but rather turn her to the Dark Side so that she could use her battle meditation againt the republic. Again small correction but a necessary one.

  • yeah you are right.

  • Yeah, great review btw, oh and if you havent i left a comment on your channel that you might want to take a look at, just sayin.

  • I love KOTOR, it makes me happy, I have the PC, love the story, the graphics, the gameplay, it's spectacular on so many levels.

  • i remember waaayyyyy back years ago, i rented this game for original xbox. i loved it so much, i renewed it for like 7 weeks before returning it. time... and half-life.... came and went, and now, i just bougt this game off steam!!!!! i can finally finish it!

  • 48 fuck!

  • yep. legendary.

  • do you have huge framerate issues when you go into battle? cuz i just bought KOTOR II recently and its slightly riduclous. PLaying on my 360 btw.

  • yeah it can be a problem. It's just something you have to live with. It's not the game itself it's just because it's an xbox game on a 360.

  • ahhhhh. sad face.

my favorite part of the whole game was the badass fighting sequences =(

  • it doesn't happen all the time just every once in a while.

  • There are some frame rate issues yes. I've had some as well and I've played it on Xbox. The game is actually very good though if you get past the minor glitches and bugs. Very minor though.

  • How do you have nostalgia for a game made in 2003?

  • Because it was almost 7 years ago. It doesn't have to be 20 years old to have nostalgia.

  • I am currently, hopelessly addicted to this game right now. That's what I love is all the outcomes and shit, and how many options you have.

  • KotOR was one of the best games I have ever played. I still have it, and I play it on my 360. I would play it over Mass Effect, and I really like Mass Effect too. The bad thing is I played it so much I got bored of it already.

  • im with you kotor was the best game ever

  • Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one, but a good graphical style doesn't wear thin on me. To this day, I can play Ocarina of TIme and be just as awed by its graphics as I was back in '98. I dunno. I believe a good game is a good game and it doesn't age. Personal opinion, though.

Good review, btw. I just started playing this yesterday and I think your review is spot-on. I almost forgot how good it was.

  • hi is it open ended or is it u get given a quest and you do it rite away and what kind of problems will it have on xbox 360 if you no thanks

  • completely open ended. You can complete quests whenever you want. On the 360 you will run into some glitches like lag during combat occasionally and some sound problems but nothing too serious. Just be sure to save every 30 minutes or so in case something happens and you want to start over. I hope you enjoy the game.

  • thanks for the relply

this question has nothing to do with the game but what are your fav game an ur fav rpg becaouse i love rpgs n want more!! the ones iv played are fable1/2 oblivion marroind and fallout 3

  • Well I don't know if I have an all-time favorite game. I love too many but my favorite RPG is KOTOR. The ones you mentioned are very good too.

  • i used to own both. This game was awsome. I never bat KoToR 2, got to Kreia and she kept killing me lol

  • yeah she can be tough. I don't remember what it's called but the third tier of force push helps a ton against the flying lightsabers. Get past those and use the JuYo form and you are home free.

  • the only problem with KOTOR was how long it took to get a lightsaber.

and KOTOR2 was even longer, having to find the components to build one before you could have one. even if you killed someone carrying one you couldnt get it off them.

other than that these are the greatest star wars games ever, especially as RPG's

  • check out part 2 now. It's up and part 3 should be done soon.
