fuckin stupid. so you can reach ppl in areas not accessible to helicopters yet you cant transport them back or a proper medical payload.

The onboard computers are very expensive. But they're not the reason that it's so expensive. 2 main reasons:
1. Mass production ( economies of scale) has not been achieved. Costs for making each component+ administrative costs+loans to repay are still high.
2. It's the only product of its kind, so enough people are willing to pay that price at the current rate of production.
Other than the obviously purpose-built limited supply parts, what part of this exactly makes it so expensive? Just curious. It would seem that the actual gear required isn't much more than a smart-built car?
