If you drift the corner, you can beat the time significantly... my gold time was 18.822, after about 200 tries. It has to be *perfect*, though.

Okay for those of you trying... I found the solution. I did this without hand break, on manual, on controller.

Do not start breaking ON the break online.... take your car to the middle of the road, to the right of the driving line. Start breaking once you pass the middle of the break line (remember, you are on the right side of the break line, middle of the road). Continue breaking into the turn, then accelerate after the apex (middle).

I got 18.8xx with this. Thats what I used from this vid

Good job. If there's something to point out however, it's that at the end of the stretch, go dead straight towards the yellow goal. Do not follow the line just go dead straight.

By doing this you'll finish in a shorter time.

For those who don't have any steering wheel I can recommend to set in options brake on L2 button and handbrake on R2 button, then it will be easier to control the force of brake and easier to complete this part of test

Thanks for posting Matt. Your video helped to confirm what I was noticing. I played the living daylights out of GT3, and this gold trophy was ridiculously hard. First thing I noticed was I would have to hit the brakes later and hold for longer so that my entry was faster and all my braking was continuous, not in two sections as the road guide shows. Then what I noticed secondly was that the car will not downshift into second unless you are hugging that curve and going about 3mph. 80 tries 4 gold

I don't know about the rest of you, but licences are pretty easy. I only had to try harder on IC-3 and IC-10, and the one with the Aston 1000m braking. Other test are not hard at all...

Zomg!!!!! I literately just did this about 100 times before deciding to check for any tips on utube. I was braking when the line would tell me and the best I would get was 19.200. After I seen this gentlemans video I tried his technique about 15 times and no luck. By the way I was also using manual transmission. After reading his description I read he had abs on 8 so I change that and also brake through the apex of the curve and got it on first try =D. I also put traction control to 5 and turn

i just passed this on the ps3 with auto transmission, finally! this vid helped me realise u need to brake longer. i braked hard about half way thru the first red line, did a hard right until it got to gear 1, then as soon as gear 1 is in release the brake and take off, if u do it in 2nd gear u will go too wide,

If you Get a Gold on all B tests you get a Tommykaira ZZ-S '00. Silver is Daihatsu OFC-1 Concept '07, and Bronze is Mazda Demio Sport '03.

you have to brake once, glide, then brake again, then accelerate, I don't remember if I glided after the second brake but you have to brake then glide then brake, what they don't tell you the reason why it works is because it creates angle, like in fighter jets where they have angle of attack there is angle of the steer, basically the rear end slides a bit out so you can turn tighter

If you left foot brake and keep the accelerator on you can do it easily. Sure maybe it's cheating but it works to keep the turbo spooled. Just like they used to in the Group B days.

One quick tip. I found i was getting 18.905 or higher, until i realized NOT to follow the line around the first light turn and to stick all the way to the outside. I shaved off a couple of milliseconds and made 18.880 my next try.

I destroyed this with relative ease with the DS3. The ones I have trouble with are the ones like IC-10. The key here is to find the perfect speed and hold it there while going around the corner... The perfect speed being the speed where you don't start going wide or cutting the track... just perfectly along the edge of the inside, after the halfway point, full throttle it. (I use a layout with L2 being brake and R2 being gas, I can throttle control much better with the layout and I'm used to it.

I'll add some helpful comments here (also thanks a lot! managed 18:858) the key marks are 81 MPH and 35 MPH. when you hit just between 81-82 mph (i saw 82 mph for a nanosecond) slam the brakes down and turn. stop braking at around 32-36 and slam the gas while turning. if you drive off the road; you stopped braking too early. IF you turn too far and hit those whateverotrons on the inside of the road, you let go of the brake too late

Dude. You are a lifesaver. I am going to post a video showing me doing it too but I owe it all to you. From this video I found the two magic numbers: 81 and 35. Once you hit the wide 81 mph mark the slam on the brakes until you hit 35, the you slam on the gas and rush for home.
