I like how minimal this video is. Just Steve singing his heart out. @caress, his solo music isn't for everyone. Street Talk was written around the time of or before Raised On Radio. At that time he was having problems with his mothers health and his breakup with Sherry. So naturally it is going to be somewhat sappy, but he writes from the heart which is lacking in a lot of pop music now.

Bash me all you want. I grew up on prominantly rush and journey and Steve perrys solo stuff is just wayyyyy too sappy.....I mean to the point where I can't stand to listen to his solo material for a second.....
this song was done with his album street talk. he was on a break from journey as he was very burnt out, they did then get back together and do raised on radio.. however they had not broken up..it was just a rough time in his life as his mom was sick..

KarenM526....step into the 21st century where the internet is used to get your music, art, films etc. out to people who would never otherwise know it existed. p2p sharing, torrents, video file uploading sites are the future. Climb on board or else get left behind. What's important is to get the music to all corners of the world, and youtube helps do that, even though they delete some good stuff, it just pops back up anyways.

this song came out in the mid 80's, and was made AFTER Steve Perry left Journey. He was in Journey in the 70's.
