  • To me they are like true musicians. They no only write they own stuff, they also produce and play their own instruments. I appreciate the real musicianship of these guys. :)

  • love them!! saw them live last night

  • what...what happen did somethin drop from the ceilin cause stokley looked up. Thanks for the video. Thanks to cross roads too

  • Stokley has always reminded me of a young Lawrence Hilton Jacobs.

  • @doreennewman lol

  • LOL..the host is sprung/star struck. I would have been too though.

  • E-Life is the business

  • That's very cool of them to appear on a show like this. A lot of artists on their level don't even entertain these types of TV or radio shows.

  • She said Jeff look skinny; which is right he has great muscle tone though and a great personality. I hooked!!Terribly!!!

  • Sexy, sexy Stokley!!!

  • Yes. He is sooo sexy. When I gave him a hug and he put his arm around my waste he was so sweaty from his performance...but I didnt care.

  • @zetnom7503

Oooooh gurl I wouldn't have cared either!!! I woulda lost it.....you saw them! U gave him a hug?! You make me sick! Jk....where did you see them?

  • I went to go see them at the Country Club Hills Amphitheater June 28, 2008. Girl, Stokley came out into the audience and he was surrounded by females. I didn't care I got in front of all of them after I took a snapshot of him and grabbed him. I just melted when I felt him put his arm around my waste. I've been a fan since High School.

  • @zetnom7503

Since high school huh...I've been a fan since I was 2 & I graduated high school in June this year lol...I just remember hearing them allll the time & I still listen to them just as much. Man I don't blame you 4 grabbing him gurl...I woulda grabbed him---groped him---& then by that time I probably woulda been carried away by security LOL! Naw I woulda been appropriate. But they're such a great band, the best of my generation but I don't listen 2 what's hip now...it's just not music

  • I hear what you're saying. I barely listen to the new school. I'm more into old school. You just graduated this year, Congrats!!! I graduated in '96. So that proves that everyone all ages love Mint Condition. We all know great music. Thanks for your help in supporting a great band, Mint Condition.

  • @zetnom7503

I support them all....Earth, Wind & Fire, The Ohio Players, Kool & The Gang, Heatwave, KC & The Sunshine Band, Hues Corporation, Friends of Distinction, Chic, Parliament, Rick James, Prince, James Brown, Mike & on and on....it's all I grew up on so I'll always love it

  • Stokley is an amazing, energetic, fun performer! I actually saw them live for the 1st time here in Philly. I had a blast. Stokley's voice was perfect, no cracks, no off key notes, just pure talent. They really connect and engage the crowd. I have their best of compilation and I play it daily. They are highly underrated extremely talented musicians!

  • Girllllll! You don't know nothing until you hug Stokely he is so so soft girl and gorgeous in person. Jeffery is tall; he's the tall of them all me and Stoke was probably the same height 5'6" .Jeffery was "sweet as pie" and he likes to joke around with. He tried to help me get Stokely to sign a towel that Stoke had on stage and we didn't have a "Sharpie" so I got hugs instead. Heaven!!! Trully Heaven!!!

  • His name is actually Stokely WILLIAMS.

  • Stokley Williams

  • I finally found out that the lead singer's name is Stokley William, and the handsome keyboardist/Sax man's name is Jeff Allen and then there is O'Dell

  • They seem really down to earth. Someone told me that when they got done performing in concert, they would go back to the ghetto. That's extremely humble!!!

  • You have not experienced real LIVE music until you have seen Mint Condition in concert. I am from MN and saw them twice in concert right before I moved to ATL in '06, including the CD release for "Living the Luxury Brown." They have been to ATL 3 times in 2 years. I attended all 3 concerts and they rocked every time. The last one was May 30th. They hung around after & mingled which was so cool. I met all 5 & took pics with each one. They are all very down to earth. I am a fan for life.

  • I love this group, they seem so humble and down to earth, great interview, thanks for posting this!! I really would like to go to their concert!!

  • Mint Condition is very humble and down to earth! I had the pleasure of speaking with them May 21 on the phone from the XM Radio studio with Cayman Kelly. What a dream come true. I talked to Stokley! OMG!!!!

  • What??Are you serious? Are u like a dj? I would have been stuttering and not knowing how to compose myself. lol!!! I would love to meet the group, but I guess sometimes you want to do stuff in life, then it never happens....:)

  • Yes!!! No, I am not a dj. I am a listener of XM Radio Suite 62 (channel 843 ON DIRECTV) and Mint Condition was in the studio on May 21, they had a concert that evening. They were talking about E-Life and other things. But I called the radio right away and Cayman let me talk to Stokley. OMG!!!! I was stuttering and very nervous. I keep saying "Oh My Goodness" then I asked who I was speaking with, the voice said "Stokley"! I almost passed out!! That was a dream come true. I'll never 4get!

  • Wow!!! I would have been just like you. Have you been to any of their concerts? I am just waiting for them to come this way. I think I saw on their site (myspace) that you can come up to them after concerts and meet them. I LOVE their new cd, the only song I really don't like that much is #2 with Phoente.

  • No I have not attended any of Mint's concerts. I would love to, I live in Omaha NE. No one great really ever comes here, and the closest Mint Condition comes is St. Louis KC and Minneapolis MN. Looks like I will have to travel! When I spoke with Stokley I asked them to come to the "O". I heard that fans can come back stage to meet also, they said it gets really crowded. I LOVE E-Life also!! I love all of their CDs! I love Mint Condition!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love them too!! I know that folks are like..why are they having such a long conversation!! lol!! but, its been cool commenting back and forth, I LOVE THEIR NEW CD!! I wrote a blog about them on my myspace page! I hope you and I both get to see them in concert!!!

  • I love MC more!!! :)! Well others are welcome to join in on the MINT conversation if they like! It has been fun talking about our favorite band in the whole wide world ever. Maybe we can "word chat" on myspace if you want to. I hope we can attend a concert also! Shoot, I am trying to have them sing at my wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ROFL at the Don Cornelius story! I'm a soul train luva myself. The OLD classic train. Great interview!

  • Thanks for this Sheletta,my favorite band of all time!!
