I'm a longtime fan of Peter Schiff, but I'm not at all persuaded to donate on the premise that he'll be writing a big fat personal check for HIS OWN CAMPAIGN. Maybe if he was offering to donate his portion to charity or towards something bigger than himself, I'd think twice. But the proposition made in this video is laughable / borderline insulting.
Actually, what is laughable is the idea of donating to a charity while you are desperately fund raising to hit a critical milestone in your own campaign.

@RP4409 It's sad man, like here in california a candidate for gov meg whitman has spent MILLIONS! thing is....why does it have to cost so fucking much to run for office? to me it's a sport reserved for the rich and privelaged opposed to ordinary citizens who might bring more to the table. I'm a longtime fan of Peter Schiff, but I'm not at all persuaded to donate on the premise that he'll be writing a big fat personal check for HIS OWN CAMPAIGN. Maybe if he was offering to donate his portion to charity or towards something bigger than himself, I'd think twice. But the proposition made in this video is laughable / borderline insulting.

Senator salary is $174,000 a year plus pension (between $35k - $60k for life) and health benefits.
will you call for the end of this wasteful government spending and opt for an average salary closer to working Americans ($43k) and as a conservative personally reject the tax payer government pension, refuse the tax payer government health care and call for public funding of campaigns?
