@ShaithMaster Hi friend, yes, the 90's had very good music as well without a doubt but we must not forget that the 90's were a by-product of what happened during the 80's. Without the new sound produced during that decade, the music of the 90's would not have happened. I have to say that really good music (in my opinion) and creativity came to an end in 1999. Cheers!
@tortoni900 synth music was basically what the 80's was known for, and while it did contribute a lot, the 90's developed its own eclectic, yet memorable style with better sound quality. But I think a lot of it is nostalgia
And I agree hip hop is very disappointing given it's subjects and the value music is to some of the musicians. I hate to say alot of modern musicians are in it for money and fame. The 80's were mere musicians with meaning, they made music to say something other than money and mates. I love and wish the true values of music come back
I loved the 80's I am born in '94 but I honestly believe music is starting to look up. It seems every 30 years we have a musical outbreak... The 20's, 50's, 80's and now I think we are coming up on our next. Every genre of music is starting to change into a different style. I think the wish to be in the 80's will be granted within the next 4 to 5 years in it's own way.
I love this song for many reasons. But the bells of the cathedral just felt so right and it made this song a classic. Always something there to remind me. Well I just always wanted to be remembered and every time I hear this song it just sends a good vibe all over. The times we shared in Paris. So you still walk the city streets you use to walk along with me? I will be there soon to walk them again with you my love. Je t'aime mon amour. Merci pour le video. Thank you, Gracias.
Keyboards and Simmons synth drums are the instruments mainly in this song, they were a dominating sound in the 80's. The drums had hexagon shaped drum pads. I wish I could still by them, like that. Sadly they went out of production in the early 90's
I was actually remarking on it myself. I am guessing its a sample. Sounds a bit like something metal hitting glass maybe? And then the pitch of the sample is changed and reused throughout the song. It sounds great!
This was the most unexpected version of a Burt Bacherach tune. I first heard this song in a Carpenters medley, then the Dionne Warwick version, that's what I grew up on. When I first heard THIS version, I hated what they did to the song. I thought they ruined it. I have come to love it over the years, and I think, now.. this is the best version.
I totally understand. Not with this song but there are so many remakes of other songs that I thought were awful eventually they ended up to be my favorite versions as well. lol
@teddibearsworld I'm *almost* with you on this. I'm not quite ready to say that it's the best version, but like you I grew up with the Carpenters/Dionne versions and came to love this one over time. Ah, the '80s! This little dyke would go back in a heartbeat if only we could delete Reagan and the horror of AIDS...
@FrannyM101 It was awesome my friend. It made us happy. So basically, young people in those days were always in a good mood ! Even when we were heart-broken, there was a great song out there to make you feel better!

Hey manimoo! I couldn't agree with you more! Even though you are young, you have a great taste, appreciation and understanding of music. Many your age would be liking the Britney Spears of the World, hiphop, or rap stuff. Theres nothing wrong with that either as we live in a Free World and have different preferences. I really Give You kudos for your outstanding taste and choice of Music. Wish the young people of today understood the concept that you grasp. One Green Thumb Coming up! Cheers!
This is my ultimate 80's song, just personally speaking. To this day, I still do some air-drumming along with the song whenever I hear it...haha!!! Love it! The dance studio where I go for ballroom dancing has this in their list of swing-dancing songs. So cool.
This video reminds me of a similar experience I use to have, exactly like the lyrics. She is married now and still "There is always something there to remind me." Whether her birthday, the digits of her birthday, her name or something else.

it is funny. but not as funny as you not knowing wich nigga is yo daddy! ax yo mama boy, I bet she doesnt even know! I saw her dancing topless last night, trying to get enough for a dime rock. shit, bitch had calusus on her knees, from smoking cock in ally's.
I'm 15 years old and i'm actually a huge fan of 70's and 80's music, my mom got me into it. I heard this song on 95.3 and other radio stations when i was like, 5 and i kept hearing it my whole life since i listen to the radio when i go to sleep at night and this is a kick butt song!!! I've noticed most of my music before my time was actually really good music. This song brings back memories too
This was the JAM ! They use to play this on the R&B stations along with Promises oh how I miss the 80's:-) But there's alway's something there to remind me You Tube:-)
This is a good song. I actually have 2 cd's with the Naked Eyes on. You should listen to some other ones on Youtube too (When the Lights Go Out, What in the Name of Love). I don't know what this group had, but whatever it was, it was magical.
Funny, I had no girlfriend when this jam popped up... I felt sorry for the guy; hey there was always Schwinn bikes and $2 6-packs, what was the problem again...
Im 24 but heard this song at the supermarket and fell in love with this. Very cool and if any1 can tell me more Naked Eyes music 2 look up id appreciate it. Thanks!!!
i told my lady of 5 years that this song will make me think of her forever! then she left me for her rich boss and took my 4 year old daughter... now id like to wrap this song around a grenade and shove it up her ass!!!
something about this song reminds me of him. =D i love 80s music cuz they showed so much love and passion in thei videos and now its all about sex and skinny bitches =s
thats true, the 80's was for me the most wonderful time of my life, listen to level 42,tears for fear, wham, duran duran, culture club, billy ocean, cindy l,john oates,a-ha,they make a remarkable history in this awesome type of music the 80's the best
80's was an experimental era where all this midi synth equipment like synth drums etc became more useable by many musicians thus the sounds of the 80's. Before in the 70's there was some great music just different. Disco was more musician ship rock started to get a little stale by the end of the decade with exceptions like Van Halen Journey.
The 80s were the best. I find most modern junk just that, junk.

I always say, get to know someone thoroughly before you fall in love. Then you'll know whether they're gonna pull some crap like that.
Trouble is, people are capable of anything, so you just winding up being alone forever if you wait for someone who will never hurt you.
