I got this song off a comp. called: "The Human Expression & Other Psychedelic Groups". You can get it on Amazon (they have it listed as "Your Mind Works in Reverse", but it's the same cd)

I was 10 and I miss them, too!! 10 years ago, I started to put together a compilation of really good psych music. Back then, I figured it's be 10 to 20 CD's long. At the present, I speculate it ending up to be about 120 full CD's long!! The more good psych tunes I get the longer the project becomes. I'm building number 18 in the series, now.

The genre is: Psychedelic. More specifically: U.S Psychedelic (which can be a bit darker/heavy than say for instance British Psychedelic music of the 60's) As for sound-a-likes, there are tons of little one-off bands like this from the 60's. Your best bet is picking up some comps like: "The Psychedelic Experience", "Psychedelic Microdots", "Psychedelic Crown Jewels", or "Psychedelic Unknowns".
