Exactly the same problem mate - you need to get the password - I had a tip and can get in and change settings. Where did you get it from? They should be able to tell you
If you look up PDF manuals that are readily available, you can get a diagram of your IBM board layout easily. One page I referenced offered all the models in this time frame, detailing the setup and date of release. As they were offered when new. That is also a PDF file so make sure you have an Adobe Reader present. The jumper to do the clearing I needed is right next to the IDE ATA interface, so it's somewhat hard to see without a flashlight!
