WTF? They weren't doing any harm by writing on the sidewalk. Why are cops always looking to take a harmless situation and make problems out of it? calm down cops, dam.
hahaha, there was absolutely no brutality...AT ALL. By the way, chalking public property is graffiti....who do you think owns the sidewalks? You should all learn the law before everyone bitches and moans about "brutality" and "innocence". A law was broken. Period.
@rabidmonkey1990 Aside from the typical police brutality of cramming a knee in your kidney and shoving you down like your some kind of sick mongrel, no there was no brutality. Secondly, how do you know who owns the sidewalk? Thirdly, since when does writing on a sidewalk require a person be arrested? Fourthly, where is the warning from the cops? Did anyone kindly ask them not to write on the sidewalk? Cops always feel like they need to prove a point and arrest a person. Ego.
i live in denver i dont wanna see chalk written all over eveything go to a play ground and do that crap make a sign not on the floor i dont know of any permit that allows you to write all over public property ....
That was pretty calm lol...where was the brutality?
You have first amendment but you can't deface public property (although it was chalk). They probably could have given them a warning first, but the video cuts in the middle so for all we know they did, and they wrote on the sidewalk anyways
should have done absolutely fucking nothing. its chalk. when it rains, its gone. it was the obama stuff, and cops are conservatives, and generally racist.
I was THERE, in fact I was the one PREACHING ON THE BENCH. This guy Garcia walked behind me with a sign and was pulling my shirt trying to pull me off the park bench. BAD MOVE, as the police behind me saw that, they grabbed him and he then played the victim card. I was there acting on my freedom of speech and freedom of religion as the police protected my rights that day.

for all you know they have previous warrants the police dont need to witness you doing something for you to be arrested. Some warrants sit for 20 years before they find the person.

I don't know the whole story either, so I definitely don't want to make judgements on the police. I'm just wondering why someone would be cuffed for chalking?
because they had the nerve to be pro obama. cant have that with conservative cops, obama actually has the courage to speak out about cops, like the jim crowley thing.
Citizens may resist unlawful arrest to the point of taking an arresting officer's life if necessary. Plummer v. State, 136 Ind. 306. This premise was upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States in the case: John Bad Elk v. U.S., 177 U.S. 529.

But then I found out about him, and he's not just a liberal, he's a far left radical marxist liberal. I would vote for Clarence Thomas in a second, as well as some lesser known black republicans like Bob Parks (he's got a channel here on youtube, BlackandRight). But not Obama. Not in a million years
He is a marxist though. His policies are marxist policies of wealth redistribution, his tactics are marxist straight from the Saul Alinsky handbook, those who fund him are marxists, and his "mentors" and the people he looks up to range from marxists to straight up, avowed communists.
lol, if you think redistribution of wealth doesn't already occur, they your diluting yourself. Where do you think the money the fed prints goes? Not to us - and it devalues our money. If you think redistribution of wealth = marxism then you don't know what marxism is. Redistribution of wealth already happens.
That doesn't mean it isn't a marxist doctrine. I'm not saying the system isn't already infested with it. I'm saying that now it wants to be head honcho. Whether it's happening now or not has nothing to do with what marxism actually is

In your response to the fed printing money and corporate welfare you claimed "I'm not saying the system isn't already infested with it [marxism]". Marxism does not call for an equal redistribution of wealth, but for an equal distribution of wealth in the first place. Marx would argue that a CEO shouldn't make 30 times more than a worker, because the value of the worker is worth more than 1/30th of a CEO.
Obama isn't calling for ceo's pay to be cut to 'fair' amount. Obama isn't calling for a communistic redistribution either - which would be to give each citizen around the 50k average income and let things deteriorate from there. Saying Obamas policies are marxist is just a joke.
dear god I'm not going to even bother with you when 1: you clearly can't even understand what I am saying and 2: you don't know the first thing about the policies of the candidate I'm assuming you are voting for
I have no trouble understanding what you say, you have trouble saying what you understand.
I wouldn't say that i'm voting for a candidate - as its more of an against another candidate. Both candidates economic policies are fiscally irresponsible. The fiscally responsible thing to do is the drastically raise taxes, remove all our troops from foreign lands and cut our defense budget to 1/4 of what it is, concentrating on actual homeland defenses only - and start to pay down our huge huge debt.
I'm not saying any BLACK man, I'm saying any MAN or WOMAN who, like you said, has experience and isn't a Saul Alinsky acolyte. I would love for there to be a Black president, it would be a huge step forward, but not if that president is just going to run the country into the ground.
our country has been being run into the ground since the Reagan Administration. If you want to blow off debt then go ahead - but the amount of debt increased since the reagan administration is costing tax payers nearly a half a trillion dollars a year on the interest alone. That sounds fiscally responsible to me.
Reagan and the bush's should have thought about that before they drastically increased our debt. This is exactly what i mean by fiscal responsibility. Certainly the disastrous "trickle down" tax cuts of this administration have shown that giving large tax breaks to the wealthy doesn't help. It shows that deregulation doesn't help.
I'm not talking about giving tax breaks to just the wealthy, I'm talking abut giving tax breaks to the people. Lets also not forget that the top earning 10% of Americans pay the vast majority of taxes in the U.S, something like 70-80%. And the whole mess with the economy, that is not just the fault of the Bush Admin. It is in large part due to the house, as well as the dumbfuck mortgage companies (which are for some reason getting bailed out)
I didn't say that it was the fault of the bush administration soley. Reagan came up with this ingenious idea that if you let corporations have at it, and lower the government over site - the competition wouldn't allow for dangers to materialize. So when freddy and fanny start buying up these high risk loans left and right they are rewarded for it. When they are warned, they continue to do it. They know they'll be bailed out - because the damage done if they collapse is more than a bailout.
the wealthiest 10% of taxpayers theoretically pay about 65% of the taxes. However this doesn't take into account the benefits and deductions one gets when that wealthy. For instance -Instead of paying 50k to the government one could buy a hummer for around 60k and write off all but 10k of it as a business cost(due to a hummers weight). The amount of loopholes are astounding that about 1.3 million corporations don't pay any income tax yearly. Also the top 10% make 45% of the money in the US.
Yeah, it was only Reagan and Bush's that gave big business tax cuts. Bill Clinton would have never done that while he was in office for 8 years. He also wouldn't do anything to stop Binladin and other terrorists because he was busy getting his cock sucked.
Give me a break. Reagan and Bush increased our debt dramatically. Clinton was more fiscally responsible than any republican president in the last 30 years. Clinton tried to take action against Bin Laden, but republican controlled congress wouldn't pass anything. Reagan is at fault for championing the policies of deregulation that caused this economic crisis. I suggest you get off his cock immediately - as anyone with a rational thought left in their head sees he was a shitty pres.
A puppet is still a puppet no matter what party its in. Lets not forget Waco and Oklahoma city happened on Clintons watch. The ATF and FBI burned people alive including children, later if you believe the governments reason why McVeigh and Nichols bombed the Murrah building. No one is blameless kids. All of them are corrupt.
I agree - Clinton signed the Glass-Steagall act and nafta. But its republicans who have been chanting deregulation for the last 30 years - and its been a complete failure. McCain is 100% for Nafta - while Obama has some reservations. None of the choices are good, but that won't stop me from choosing the better choice. People complain about the bailout and should - but americans also pay a half trillion annually to pay down the interest that the bush's and Reagan's debt.
driubi you have no clue and are a one sided democrap. Quit sucking up blaming Reagan for everything. There was another idiot before him by the name of Jimmy Carter. Can you not go afew years before hand to remember how badly he F-ed everything up? Reagan fixed and helped the economy. So didn't Bush Sr. so Clinton had it made. He HAD a chance to catch Binladin more than 8 years of a chance just as this president did and failed.
jimmy carter was responsible for about 100 time less debt than reagan. The debt we obtained during the reagan bush administration costs us about 400 billion dollars a year in interest alone. So everything good under clinton was bush sr. and reagans doing, and everything bad under bush jr is clintons fault. And you call me a "once sided democrap" - which is a faulty assumption as i always vote who I think would be better for the country at the time. This time it is democrats.
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."

and I have to deal with the police on a regular basis. Not all cops are bad but it seems alot have a disregard for our rights. I'm currently in a law suit against a city for violating my rights. So God bless you, (continued) preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and stand up for the unborn no matter what. Amen.
What an outrage!! These wicked police officers who committed this CRIME should be fired. They need to stop sinning and call on Jesus to escape hell! They obviously have a personal problem and a personal agenda to show such disregard for American citizens they are supposed to SERVE AND PROTECT and not persecute. I preach the gospel on the streets alot calling men to stop their lying ,drunkeness, abortion, fornication and homosexuallity and all sin and call on Jesus to escape hell and go to heaven
It's strange that people attribute this brutality to Bush when the DNC was the organization setting the policies for their convention. The two girls who were assaulted and arrested had a permit to write on public sidewalks issued by the City of Denver. Their message was critical of the Dem's Chosen One. Same with the reporter who was attacked by police. He was getting photos of people the DNC didn't want photographed. If you want this to become the norm, vote Obama. Jayne, Julie, sue the cops!
There were several kids drawing messages on the sidewalk. Why were these two girls singled out and attacked without warning? Was their message different from the others? This behavior is an example of the liberal mindset in action. They do not tolerate criticism. Consider the Obama campaign's recent attempt to get the Justice Department to suppress a TV commercial critical of Obama. Imagine what they would do if Obama was president and controlled the Justice Department.
This is fascism people. This is the result of foreign policy bent on controlling oil & banking interests. Keep fighting back, VIVE LES RESISTENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As is happening across America, people have become infatuated with Obama....or to state it more correctly...have become "deceived" by him. Anyone who supports the killing of innocent babies in their mother's womb are nothing short of evil. As this video confirms, it is apparent and extremely unfortunate that our public servants, the Denver police, are among those deceived....
But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived. (2 Timothy 3:13)
these guys are not cops they are pigs.they give good cops a bad name.they even go after reporters ,uncultured swine.this is the USA not the soviet union.i hope some day some cop will treat there kids like that.dirt bags, rot in hell.
I hope they sue the police for brutality, that the cops go to jail and get treated the same. HOW DARE they attack these innocent women! You cops if you are reading this are cowardly slime for attacking little girls. Shame on you!!
um, EXCUSE ME, but whatever idiot said that this video was fake, was WRONG! i was one of the girls arrested, and honestly, i was horrified that cops would treat any peaceful protesters simply because they were exercising first ammendment rights! and by the way "lowjack91" the officers with the blue zip-tye cuffs are riot control officers. we were arrested by regular officers, because OBVIOUSLY, we were not starting any type of riot.
Excuse me, these girls were given PERMISSION FROM THE CITY to do this. It has now reported on WND and other sources.
Those officers are damn lucky that there was nobody there trained to fight to perform a citizens arrest for violating a 1st Amendment, city-permitted right, and to shove their individual fingers up their rear.
Go figure....BO's change is no more 1st Amendment....or for the lame that don't know -- no more free speech.....remember that you BO koolaid drinkers!!!
To anyone who questions the validity of this event, my daughters were there (imagine my heart stopping when I got a message saying 2 girls arrested). They had permission by the city, they broke no laws. Insanity!! And sidewalk chalk is NOT considered 'vandalism', especially when done on public property, and with express permission by the city. Everything the Survivors do is scoped out, accounted for and made sure to be 100% legal! I guess these cops were absent the day they taught them 1st Amend
I live in downtown denver and I seriously doubt the validity of this video. All the police that are patrolling the areas around the dnc are wearing full gear, I don't think I've seen bare arms at all since monday. Also, from what I've gathered and seen they aren't handcuffing protestors, the are using blue zip-tie type constraints. That's just my two sense.
the group had received permission to sidewalk chalk from Denver City Attorney David Fine and Denver Deputy Chief Police John Lamb and had been "sidewalk chalking" for six days prior to the arrests without incident.
Using chalk on a public sidewalk is not vandalism for several reasons...one of which being that using chalk does not permanently damage or deface property.
I think I saw that one as well, The ABC producer? If so, that was nasty. He was trying to get pictures of the DNC "Big Donors"...how dare he?....The RNC will be even nastier. I hope law suites were filed immediately to send a message to the Denver/Minnesota police. Take care. Peace
So u apparently get arrested for writting with chalk on the sidewalk... whats next u are eating a candy bar and miss the trash can?

I'm not saying any BLACK man, I'm saying any MAN or WOMAN who, like you said, has experience and isn't a Saul Alinsky acolyte. I would love for there to be a Black president, it would be a huge step forward, but not if that president is just going to run the country into the ground.
heatsketch 3 years ago
our country has been being run into the ground since the Reagan Administration. If you want to blow off debt then go ahead - but the amount of debt increased since the reagan administration is costing tax payers nearly a half a trillion dollars a year on the interest alone. That sounds fiscally responsible to me.
driubi 3 years ago
Since when has raising taxes on everyone fixed problems? Historically it's only made it worse
heatsketch 3 years ago
Reagan and the bush's should have thought about that before they drastically increased our debt. This is exactly what i mean by fiscal responsibility. Certainly the disastrous "trickle down" tax cuts of this administration have shown that giving large tax breaks to the wealthy doesn't help. It shows that deregulation doesn't help.
driubi 3 years ago
I'm not talking about giving tax breaks to just the wealthy, I'm talking abut giving tax breaks to the people. Lets also not forget that the top earning 10% of Americans pay the vast majority of taxes in the U.S, something like 70-80%. And the whole mess with the economy, that is not just the fault of the Bush Admin. It is in large part due to the house, as well as the dumbfuck mortgage companies (which are for some reason getting bailed out)
heatsketch 3 years ago
I didn't say that it was the fault of the bush administration soley. Reagan came up with this ingenious idea that if you let corporations have at it, and lower the government over site - the competition wouldn't allow for dangers to materialize. So when freddy and fanny start buying up these high risk loans left and right they are rewarded for it. When they are warned, they continue to do it. They know they'll be bailed out - because the damage done if they collapse is more than a bailout.
driubi 3 years ago
the wealthiest 10% of taxpayers theoretically pay about 65% of the taxes. Also the top 10% make 45% of the money in the US.
driubi 3 years ago
Yeah, it was only Reagan and Bush's that gave big business tax cuts. Bill Clinton would have never done that while he was in office for 8 years. He also wouldn't do anything to stop Binladin and other terrorists because he was busy getting his cock sucked.
jeffym 3 years ago
LMAO.
I suggest you get off his cock immediately - as anyone with a rational thought left in their head sees he was a shitty pres.
driubi 3 years ago
A puppet is still a puppet no matter what party its in. Lets not forget Waco and Oklahoma city happened on Clintons watch. The ATF and FBI burned people alive including children, later if you believe the governments reason why McVeigh and Nichols bombed the Murrah building. No one is blameless kids. All of them are corrupt.
AmericanPoliceState 3 years ago
I agree - Clinton signed the Glass-Steagall act and nafta. But its republicans who have been chanting deregulation for the last 30 years - and its been a complete failure. McCain is 100% for Nafta - while Obama has some reservations. None of the choices are good, but that won't stop me from choosing the better choice. People complain about the bailout and should - but americans also pay a half trillion annually to pay down the interest that the bush's and Reagan's debt.
driubi 3 years ago
driubi you have no clue and are a one sided democrap. He HAD a chance to catch Binladin more than 8 years of a chance just as this president did and failed.
jeffym 3 years ago
jimmy carter was responsible for about 100 time less debt than reagan. This time it is democrats.

and I have to deal with the police on a regular basis.

Remember a few years ago, when we had a republican controlled house and president?
Did abortions stop?
Did the gay agenda's stop?
Was school prayer re-instated?
Did judge Moore keep his 10 commandments?
The republicans are evil like the Deomocrats.
We are now in a POLICE STATE folks.
It's going to get ugly....

They got permission from the city, but they must have forgot to get permission from the gangs. The girls are fortunate to have survived.

How come my other comments not posting?
jimstach 3 years ago
There were several kids drawing messages on the sidewalk. Why were these two girls singled out and attacked without warning? Was their message different from the others? This behavior is an example of the liberal mindset in action. They do not tolerate criticism. Consider the Obama campaign's recent attempt to get the Justice Department to suppress a TV commercial critical of Obama. Imagine what they would do if Obama was president and controlled the Justice Department.

(2 Timothy 3:13)

um, EXCUSE ME, but whatever idiot said that this video was fake, was WRONG! i was one of the girls arrested, and honestly, i was horrified that cops would treat any peaceful protesters simply because they were exercising first ammendment rights! and by the way "lowjack91" the officers with the blue zip-tye cuffs are riot control officers. we were arrested by regular officers, because OBVIOUSLY, we were not starting any type of riot.

That's just my two sense.
lowjack91 3 years ago
the group had received permission to sidewalk chalk from Denver City Attorney David Fine and Denver Deputy Chief Police John Lamb and had been "sidewalk chalking" for six days prior to the arrests without incident.

I support peaceful protests.
This *young girls* deserved what they got. This is considered vandalism not protesting...
THENAk3DTRUTH 3 years ago
Using chalk on a public sidewalk is not vandalism for several reasons...one of which being that using chalk does not permanently damage or deface property.

I think I saw that one as well, The ABC producer? If so, that was nasty. He was trying to get pictures of the DNC "Big Donors"...how dare he?....The RNC will be even nastier. I hope law suites were filed immediately to send a message to the Denver/Minnesota police. Take care. Peace
