Hey, Social, I have a question about Portable 3rd. I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but when you're using the bow, on the third level charge, you get the option to shoot an arrow rain. When the arrows make contact with the monster you can see the colors made from the various statues inflictions. My question is: does each individual arrow impact do less status infliction, or does it do the same amount as when you just shoot the monster with an ordinary level three charge?

@Pokgiel To add on to what Pokgiel said, you can also gather them in the underwater bone/shell gather spots of D. Island, but it's really frustrating to get them. If you want them to make the various crystal weapons, I'd say just hold off until high rank. They're not really that great as weapons, and they are the "failed" appraisal for Ancient Shards (high rank rust shards).

@MegaDarkus123 Use a fire or dragon weapon - not sure what you've got available, if you're in low rank, the Black Weapons might be open, and those are pretty useful. If you have Lao open, his weapons are also good. An armor set with Quake Res is pretty good and I find Hammers really easy to fight him. I just go around from foot to foot, moving on when I get a flinch, unless he's low to the ground, in which case I stay under him and hit his body. A pierce bow(gun) isn't a bad choice, either.

@blahvlah666 I don't know off the top of my head, but you can check out various websites, like the MH Wiki for a list of key quests in the different ranks and games. Alternatively, if you can't find what you're looking for, gamefaqs is usually pretty comprehensive.

@potatoekiller98 Typically, I make multiple weapons to deal with the various monsters' weaknesses. But Dragon, Fire and Thunder are probably the most used elements on my part.

@TToud The "combo finisher" that exists in Tri and Portable 3rd doesn't exist in Unite. So Shepard uses the backhop slash as a way to regain the spirit bar (which I believe is the best way of increasing the spirit bar), also I believe the backhop slash is the only move you can use after the spirit combo (not 100% sure about this though)

Here's my challenge: fight a lagiacrus without using traps, bombs or thrown objects like flash bombs. You have to use sword & shield with a rarity of maximum 2 ( so that's the dark blue color ). The same for armor. Thumbs up so they read this!
