@rrey0456 No. There is no filter, so the bacteria cannot live anywhere. With this tank, you should do 100% water changes around 3 times a week for one betta. I have this tank as a hospital tank though, my bettas have 2.5 Gallons of water each to themselves.
@bahamut285 Whoa whoa... 100% 3 times a week?! You are crazy. 50 percent a week is enough. You're going to stress the hell out of your Betta with that. Do you not know that drastic changes in water (even new clean water) can cause your betta ick?! You need to do WAY more research.
@hydralisk3313 50% water changes will NOT keep up with the constant ammonia production. You are just constantly diluting it, and eventually your 50% changes will not be enough. If you insist that I'm a raving lunatic then at least do ONE 100% a week. I don't use this tank anymore because there is no safe way for me to heat it. I've upgraded all my tanks to anywhere between 3-5 gallons each for ONE betta. They have never been ill in their ilves.
J'ai le même aquarium ! ♥
