It's a Telecaster. Though Richie does use a double-neck Strat too (If you want to know what that looks like, check out the 1995 Wembley performance of "Lay You Hands On Me"). If you look at the cutaways, headstock and scratchplate, It's fairly obvious it's a Tele. And what do you mean they don't produce them? They don't readily produce Strat OR Tele doubles, but the Custom Shop will make anything you want. And Finally: you don't need to be so aggressive, especially considering you were wrong.

Yeah. I believe he's using one of the Gibson ESD-1275's (The letters could be wrong, not sure right now). It was produced as a 12 and 6 string guitar. Personally, I think that guitar kicks major ass. I would (almost) kill for one.

What are you talking about?! It's a custom shop Fender double-neck Telecaster, they're both six-string necks, one has a capo, one doesnt. And seeing as it was made especially for this song, the bottom-neck only has the trebble p'up. An EDS-1275 is a 6 and a 12-string so you can switch sounds without swithing guitar, this tele is a double because Have a nice day is played in the tuning of F# except for the solo which is in standard.
