Wow, the Blazers were soooooo rolling in this 1st quarter... But then, they choked as usual. But it surely was one of the greatest series of all time.
What an awesome series. This Portland team was one of the best ever assembled. Portland should've won this series and at the very least, should've remained in-tact. But I like the fact that Kobe had to go against all those great perimeter players in their prime (Pippen, Smith, Wells, Stoudemire, Anthony, Augmon), yet he held his own. What an awesome series.
@kisswriters I can't say that pippen was in his prime, his prime was 90-97. Steve smith prime was during the heat and hawk days. Stoudemire prime was his early days with the raptors. Anthiny prime was with the knicks during the pat riley era. Augmon prime came duing his hawk days and Wells, well his prime came after all the guys i just mention left portland i think. What ever happened to him?? And to think now, that was not Kobe in his prime!!
@student2dagame no pippen was not in his prime, Smith was and Stoudemire was as well, you forget Stoudemire had been in the league only 3 years, if that. He was not in his prime on the Raptors, that was his first team. Anthony and Augmon, did they ever have a prime? lol. Wallace was in his prime though, no doubt. As was Grant. Sabonis.....well...his prime was like 20 years prior to this.
@RyZombie619 You must did not read my statement, I said that pippen was not in his prime in 2000, I said it was from 1990-1997!! Stoudemire played his best basketball with the raptors if u can remember before he got high in portland. Everybody has a prime. Everybody has a season in which they reach their potential, some guys prime are better than others but everybody has a prime and Anthony and Augmon were in decline. If u read what @kisswriters wrote, it was in response to him.
@student2dagame I agree, only wallace and maybe Grant were in their prime. Did stoudamire play better with the blazers than he did with the raptors?? Did Augmon play better with the Hawks than he did with the Blazers?? Did Anthony play better or just even recieved more playing time with the Knicks than he did with the blazers??
@student2dagame lmao!! maybe you should RE READ my statement, CAN PEOPLE NOT READ HERE?? seriously, its pissing me off. I SAID: "no, pippen was NOT in his prime." how is that arguing what you said? Stoudamire played better on Portland than Toronto, yes. Augmon and Anthony played better on their other teams though.
@RyZombie619 I read perfectly and u said a double negative, "no, pippen was not in his prime". If u read that, u are actually saying pippen was in his prime!!! I thought u was saying that he was, my bad. I read what you said using hmmm lets see, ENGLISH, and you said a double negative!!
Thanks for posting this game, jdm7131 u da man! too bad blazers didnt win this series, that game 7 of this series kinda screwed them, and they never played the same.
5:59. Man, you gotta love how Scottie rebounds with that spin.

It was amazing how deep this blazer team was. They used a future MVP canidate in J. O'neal to hack-a-Shaq only!!

@student2dagame thus team also reminds me of the 94 supersonics. That was a deep team that lost to the nuggets
