I have to agree with regalgreen here. The WiiWare service has a serious lack of good titles. The greatest games on the service are available on different platforms as well, and one of the masterpieces (Cave Story) is available for free on PC without much changes. Currently I think XBLA is still the best Digital Distribution platform for consoles, but this might shift in the direction of PSN soon, because Microsoft is often too demanding on its developers, and the games are way too expensive.

actually, megaman 8 cant possibly be on wiiware, because it was for PSX, which was on a CD, which wont fit on the 40 MB limit that wiiware has.

You MUST be thinking megaman 7, which was on the Super NES.

And megaman 9 could have never been VC because it was made for current consoles, such as the PS3, the xbox 360 and the wii. It never existed in the 8-bit era. It's just to give us 8-bit megaman lovers a fresh taste of a new classic.

After discovering that some old school PC games are getting a make over and releasing on the wiiware channel I have decided that I would like to see these series' come to life again. 1.) The Tex Murphy series. 2.) The Street Rod series. 3.) King's Quest Series. 4.) The Swat Series and finally 5.) The Phantasmagoria Series.  I Also would play the crap out of some Conkers' Bad Fur Day, so that needs to come to either the purchase channel or Wiiware as well. Bring it on Nintendo!

world of goo was such an amazing game, i don't think i have played such a casual game that kept me playing like it was a hardcore game, i still find myself going back sometimes when im bored to try and get a better score on certain levels and improve my goo tower. i played it on pc though, i imagine the wii version was just as good, the controller seems perfect for that kid of game.

I disagree. Sure there's some lame games on WiiWare, but from what I've seen there are plenty of interesting WiiWare titles out too. It's just that unless it's a game with a big-ish name attached to it like Mega Man or Tetris, the good ones don't get much attention.

Nintendo doesn't really promote the games much, the gaming media doesn't pay attention, so really the people on YouTube who post videos are the only ones trying to point people in the direction of the good WiiWare games.

I think the exact opposite of you, I used to spend all of my Wii Points on classic NES games that I didn't have but then I found I was just buying these games a couple months later at garage sales. If you bought Water Warfare then Your not doing this right. Just watch reviews. Some of the most creative and innovative games exist on WiiWare like World of Goo, LostWinds and Bit. Trip Beat. There are A TON of amazing titles you just have to look and try some games that you normally wouldn't.

Well other then the more big name titles (Tetris, Dr. Mario, Konami's Rebirth games, Final Fantasy etc.) there's World of Goo, the LostWinds games, Toki Tori, Swords & Soldiers, the Art Style and Bit Trip series, Strong Bad and Tales of Monkey Island, among others.

Some cool looking stuff is on the way too, like the updated ports of Cave Story and La Mulana, Eternity's Child, Zombie Panic in Wonderland and some others.

Buried under the crap are some great games, there's just no press.
