  • I miss the days when intelligence and imagination flowed like wine......

  • I don't see anything wrong with Babette, you people make it seem like she's actually popping out. XDD

People wore those clothes back in those times. They wore these horrid things called corsets that slimmed your waist down and pushed your boobs up. She's not really showing anything.

  • Damn, Babette was really hot, now that I remember her.

  • @TheFingerbuns Yeah, pretty tough ole broad too as it turned out. Got abducted by that Captain and then ended up putting HIS ass in chains !

  • Hmm, she had a visible chest, and she wanted to show a bunch of pirates who probably haven't seen a woman in a while "a good time" in Paris, the home of Moulin Rouge and Crazy Horse.

    Yowza.

  • Babette is such a BAMF. XD

  • This is why pirates were not respected untill "Pirates of the Carribian" came around.

  • WTF is this and why have I not heard of it before now???

  • is babette a possible influence on ruby heart

  • @Nanakokuroi1 Any similarity between her & Ruby Heart in terms of cleavage is purely coinicidental...

  • this had some fluid animation

  • Dos anyone like Babbette's Singing voice?

  • I do. I really wish she had more singing in this.

  • No.

  • Gosh...HARD to believe that it was a CHILDREN'S show!O.O

  • Sad how uptight we've become as a nation, huh.

  • ....wow, I'm surprised she can keep them under control (they look like the kind of guys who haven't seen a woman in years, lol)

  • This seriously was one of my fave movies ever.

Probably explains why I'm so fucked up haha.

  • Babette looks like a cross between Princess Yum-Yum from "The Thief and the Cobbler" and Jessica Rabbit from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" also both directed by Richard Williams.

  • Richard Williams was the animation director for "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" and voice of Droopy Dog. But Robert Zemeckis directed the Roger Rabbit film. Is that what you meant?

  • I meant director of animation.

  • Not ALL cel animation is for children. ;)

Pixar maybe - but not cel!

  • Hey now :) I see nothing wrong with this. Shrek is a different story. O_o

  • amen to that.

  • Because there was a time when parents weren't scared of everything... and children were treated as if they had brains in their heads.

  • well said!

  • Sad that creativity became a crime. I bow down to the wild imagination and amazing amount of detail these animators put into this trippy movie. I loved it as a kid and love it now.

  • @UncleMilo Well, it seemed the 70's was when animated movies got more adult oriented in general. The Ralph Bakshi stuff ( Wizards, Fritz the Cat, Heavy Traffic ) also came out during the same time period as this flick and THEY were rated R and X. It wasn't that Walt Disney stuff anymore ( though THAT would make a comeback later on ) .

  • I love pirates and Raggedy Ann & Andy, such memories <3

    Cute song. Thanks for uploading!!!
