This is wonderful! Im working on making one for my big boys (1/3 bobobie resin) and it's working not damaging the resin but i have a question, how do you get the part at the top and does it stay on?
With the vinyl heads, once you peel it off, it can slip out of place due to gravity/handling, so a pin does help hold it in place. Not sure about resin.
As for the part.... Have you ever seen how a vinyl head is rooted? It's kind of done in a zig-zag pattern. I think the ideal way to do the part would be to glue tiny bits in a zig-zag pattern.
I need to find the lighter fluid, but I've got a more detailed video in progress and can try covering parts. Still a newish technique, though.
Nice and informative. And really, do you think I should not eat the materials?????
Great warnings too, it´s so logical, most people forget about them.

You mean on other doll wig-making techniques? I could do one on faux-fur wigs, but I'm afraid I don't know any other good ones.
Or just other doll tutorials in general?
Oh, I do have a follow-up planned; need to get back to it.... I got sick and busy so I didn't finish it. XD

That was very useful, I will have to try your method as an alternative to rooting and knotting.
