anyone who loves animals will do all they can to make sure the population stays at a safe balanced level. this means hunting females, males shutting down hunting, reopening zones closing them, putting culls out (killing mass amounts) or any means neccisary. Dont judge unless you got the numbers to back it. i LOVE animals but also LOVE hunting..win win..ya thats a HUGE bull..has to score 410-430
Elk hunters are among the people that love this animal the most and we donate money every year to RMEF for habitat conservation, along with purchasing hunting licenses. Don't make the mistake of thinking that just because we pursue this EXTREMELY difficult animal to hunt that we don't love and respect them, it is for more than just mere sport, it is for meat and the challenge of hunting one of nature's most elusive animals. It feels good to know one can provide meat for himself.
@EndSportsHunting Anyone who knows about ecology and the environment knows that every prey species needs a predator to keep the prey population in check. its called carrying capacity and the wolves that once maintained it are no longer around so people take their place.
could you elaborate on the "game farm" thing? i'm an avid hunter and i find the idea of canned hunts and buying trophies more than worrisome. it's appalling. do you accept money for people to come shoot farm animals? if you're raising them for slaughter, i respect that, i know there are people who do that for the meat. but people paying 8 grand to have a tamed frankenbull on their wall is completely unethical, and it's one of the reasons hunters are viewed in negative lights.
I don't find it offensive that you ask about the farm as such but I would prefer a little more notice taken on the vid so that the questions you ask are directed correctly. I'm asking at the start of the clip what the name of the farm is - clearly therefore it is not my property and therefore to answer you question - No! i don't take money from anybody to come and shoot them nor is it I who is raising them. In saying that - i do agree with your thoughts on the canned hunts issue.......>>>>>>
I find it pretty bad as well but the converse line of thinking about it is that; while fat pockets are prepared to come and pay to shoot an animal , it therefore means they are leaving the wild population alone for those that are prepared to hunt the fair way and put in some hard yards. This farm is set up for those that want to come htere and have an animal bowled over in the space of a couple of hours - most of that time being spent sorting out which head they actually want to shoot....>>>>
So therefore I do not agree with the principle of peple ding this and then having the audacity to actually call themselves Hunters - they're not - they're just shooters- and thats it. If thats what they want to do then I guess there is no question of ethics in it for them then. It becomes "unethical" as such when they advocate themselves as "hunters" and/or spout of afterwards about this "great hunt they had up in Canada" whereas all they did was come up and shoot an animal.....>>>>
I say "Hunters who came UP here to Canada" because the majority of the fellas who shoot on this property are Americans. Like I said there are a couple of points of view on it - in that they leave the Wild Population alone - and it provides a living for the Fella who owns the property.
Further to note is that there really is no 'Fair-Chase' for the Bull/Cow that has died and of whom I brought one of its T-Bones at the supermarket. Canned Hunts aren't my style either. [End]
that just blows my mind. i would be scared shitles to be that close, no matter if he was raised by humans or not. AMAZING video though. hahaha

Wouldn't like to be around him in the rut. A mate had a fallow deer stag as a pet but during the rut he was a different animal.

Anyone who really loves these animals should be crusading against hunting of any kind of them.
