Someone before said Americans cheer and shout during our national anthem. I just wanted to say that that's not right. We are quiet for our national anthem and then we cheer at the END when the person is FINISHING the song. So yes, from an American point of view, it was rude of the fans to scream while he was singing the Korean national anthem. Just wanted to clear up confusion.

Actually, we do scream at our own National Anthem, especially during the last line. And if they have a hot guy to sing it, of course people would be screaming as well...and then people are gonna say, "those NON-Americans have no respect."

I don't think it matter what song was being sung, he's TVXQ! there would be screaming regardless. And hey, it wasn't just "Americans" at Hollywood Bowl. There were Canadians and other nationalities that do attend this event as well. ;P

Okay, my 1st thought may be wrong but you didn't read what TheNewKidOnThaBlock wrote.

But I do believe I was right on my 2nd comment. At that moment, people (NOT just Americans) were so hyped about seeing Xiah they freaked & forgot it was the anthem. It was not meant to disrespect the Korean Anthem at all even though it may have seemed so in the clip. I've been to many KMF@HB & this was the 1st & only year this had happen, explanation: must be because he is Xiah Junsu of TVXQ!

Wow, that's very generalizing and stereotyping answer. Believe me, there were lots of screaming Koreans around me in pool circle and not everyone who was screaming were girls either.

People were just excited to see Xiah JunSu on stage so early in the show and probably couldn't contain themselves.

Also, I'm sure people knew it was the S.Korea national anthem because before him it was the U.S. anthem and people were standing. It's also tradition to sing the anthems before the festival.
