Regardless whether they're beginner or expert, INFORMED players will tell you Long Pimples and Anti-spin are bullshit rubbers for lower skill cheats, used to inflate their own skills (through ball flight trickery) at the expense of their real skill, which is why less than 2% of the top 200 players in the world use them. And NONE of them in the top 50.

Long Pimples and Antispin are crap. They are a blight on the great game of Table Tennis and should be banned. Instead of playing the man you are inevitably reduced to playing against the rubber.
@mrmr1964 Heard they are going to ban the high speed and spin inverted rubbers because more and more newbies with no skill use them to get unfair advantage over the experienced masters. Do you have more info on this? Cheeerz
@ChichoFicho Long Pimples & Antispin change the flight & direction of the ball inconsistent with the stroke made upon it. And that's bullshit. It's cheating. Half the time players with these rubbers don't even know themselves what spin or flight they've put on the ball. As for smooth rubbers no matter what their speed is any stroke on the ball will incur a LINEAR FLIGHT trajectory & APPROPRIATE SPIN on the ball in accordance with the PLAYERS SKILL & SPEED & not rubber trickery. That's fair.
