I got to dive the Backmine back in the late 80's early 90's. I think the water was clearer then, but my mind is murkier now so who knows. lol. Was that a truck cap I saw briefly at the 3:34 mark? The car was there when I dove it, the cap wasn't. I recall being there one day when it was hot as heck out. To cool off I dove into the water with nothing on
but my bathing suit. Boy did I come out fast! That place never warms up!

Fascinating video! I'm a big fan of the mine myself, though I'm not a diver, only a land-bound photographer... :-)
The full name of the mine was Wallingford-Back, and it was at one time the largest feldspar extraction site in North America. It closed in 1972.

It's an abandoned feldspar mine North of Buckingham, Quebec, Canada. It's nicknamed Backmine.
